  1. I AGREE. We need to get the youngsters seasoned before Kirill walks. This grinder version, and leaning SO much on him, needs to go. He just doesn't have the type of talent in the Top 6 to win in the playoffs. BG is too stubborn with the 'workmanlike players' - which Dean Evason loves. It has proven not to work in playoffs for several years now. You NEED more offensive threats, not more grinders. I want all the youth in US and up ASAP. Outside of Kap and Boldy (maybe EEK), not sure we shouldn't retrofit 3 new on Top 6. Also, Spurgeon's warts are showing, and Brodin should be the safest Top 4 D.
  2. Klingon falls on his a$$ and gives up a 2 on 1. If last game for the Wild, you won't see me upset. The guy sucks.
  3. THIS! It is utterly annoying to watch. Go to the net with the puck and pressure them (Hintz did it for a goal, he didn't wait for 'help'). It is getting SO old.
  4. We look like we don't have a clue how to get a goal. They had better come out Friday with their best 3 periods, or I am afraid it will be the LAST game with the Wild for several players and staff (if BG has a fricken set of ballZ).
  5. Someone NEEDED to paste his a$$ within two shifts after the cross checks on Kap. That is how you win in playoffs. No cheap shot should be left unanswered on THAT specific player. Otherwise they will take liberties game after game - and the 'clutch my pearls' Suter has done that.
  6. He is now a cheap shot artist. He never plays strong face-up. Only when the opposing player is not looking - total 8itch hockey. We missed the chance to punish him three games ago, and it has cost us. He keeps taking the blind cheap shots on Kap.
  7. Yep. BG/DE sacrifice skill for this grit they think they have. However, it disappears in the playoffs (or is rewarded with many penalties) and our lack of skill kills us - we simply cannot overcome. It also doesn't help when your PP is just dog$hit when PP are necessary opportunities in the Playoffs. Need skill there, and what skill we have is replaced by an even less skilled PP (#2) after a minute or so. If you watch the top teams, they simply do NOT replace their top unit as quickly. DE is very stubborn about getting PP2 time, when they have an extremely low skill/success. A losing strategy.
  8. Kirill does, but they seem to forget that in the playoffs. We are also a mentally fragile team in the playoffs. Any misfortune and we cave after a few solid games.
  9. Just got home from a graduation event for a daughter. Yeesh. Looks dismal. The upside if we lose this series is that BG and DE will likely junk their 'competitive rebuild' and go young. We just don't have enough fire power in the playoffs when teams can eliminate (or cheap shot Kap). You just HAVE to more offensive threats, and Kirill doesn't look 100% (though guys have missed several goals on passes from him). They need more talent to play with him, or I am afraid he will leave us at the end of the contract. McD has Draisaitl, but also Nugent Hopkins and complementary players. We just have too many role players on Lines 1 and 2. Need Ohgren, Rossi, Yurov, Khusnutdinov to get development time ASAP before we burn too many years of Kap's contract. I am tired of the grinders that cannot convert in Playoffs.
  10. Reeves needs to play like Lou did tonight. EVERY GAME. Kirill is still getting hacked, held, chipped, elbowed - whatever they can do, and the calls against have been minimal. To free him up, there must be fear. Also, if Hartman had passed to him, I am going to believe he would have buried the backside one-timer. Could have changed the game. MAF better NOT be in at Dallas. Will put us on our heels.
  11. C'mon, Kirill......That is the break you wanted in this game....Alone, and unmolested.
  12. They need to really play rough and aggressive and wear down the Stars - the clearly obvious job of Line 4, though not always executed.
  13. Yes, he does. I think he is tired of the cheap $hit. Maybe he feels that if he cranks up his wheels a touch, they won't be able to nick him up. Great play on the one rush, and I wish Hartman would have made the pass on the other (I trust Kirill more shooting than anyone else).
  14. But....'that's what we do'....If he does start MAF, show him the door before the end of the series. Gus for the rest of the playoffs unless injured.
  15. Now, Gus needs to close them out and the Wild need to take them behind woodshed with shoulders, elbows and knuckles in 3rd. That should get them off their game (and next).
