  1. Agreed. The Wild came out flying but didn’t capitalize on the chances they had and now Detroit is right back in it. IMO Detroit won the first period.
  2. Kind of sloppy fire wagon hockey so far…Wild were really taking it to Detroit, but I think now Detroit has the advantage now…
  3. Some pretty interesting reading in the Athletic regarding this. Chris O’Hearn and the Wild suddenly parted ways after an internal investigation by a third party. Russo didn’t even see that coming and he’s about as connected as they come. So now BG is without his right hand man and capologist. And now BG is being called out by a whistleblower for using abusive language.
  4. Since November 27 (seven games) the Wild have moved from 8th in the Wild Card Standings to 7th...
  5. According to Russo on the Athletic, Brodin will miss a significant amount of time with an upper body injury. Potentially 10 games and 24 days…
  6. Can Mark Parrish be any more of a homer? Jesus Pete, only being down a goal is a good showing? They spent 15 of the 20 minutes in their own end. How is that a good showing?
  7. They don’t have a choice playing Merrill. Guerin’ painted the team into a corner with his NMC’s and contract extensions. They can’t call anyone up and they can’t trade for anyone.
  8. Not sure what all the passing backwards during the powerless play was…
  9. Be interesting to see if the Wild will keep their foot on the gas or if they do what they usually do and sit back on the lead and let the Predators back in…
  10. Haynes got a four year deal, so he’s not temporary. And he’s Guerin’s drinking buddy. He’s not going anywhere.
  11. The main problem is that GMBG gave the prime trade pieces (Zucarello, Hartman, Foligno) all NMC's. So they can't be moved unless they request a trade and the Wild are willing to trade them. EEK and Kaprizov can be traded before July 1, 2024, then their NMC/NTC's kick in. But do you really want to trade them? I mean about the only players you can trade are Faber, Boldy, Duhaime, Dewar, Middleton, Merrill, and Gustavsson. You're not trading Faber and Boldy, so that leaves you with Dewar, Duhaime, Middleton, Merrill, and Gustavsson. You're not getting a bag of used pucks for all five of them...
  12. I found that interesting too. At first I thought Gallant wanted too much to be just an interim coach and finish out the season so they could do a search. But then I read they gave Hynes a four year deal. So yeah, maybe they are cheaping out on the coaches...
