I fully agree with that. But my point is, It's Koivu's job since he's sent out for that situation is to be there for the FO.. He's blowing his "opportunities" with his old tricks.

Stats are fine in most cases, But add in the times he's kicked out since the rule change. I count that as a 'lost' faceoff. Then you have to take in consideration when those 'wins' are. Which is more important, In the O zone or D? Depends on the situation at the time. That's how I judge.

I read it as there should've been a comma after "lineup" and finish with the Koivu statement. While finishing out his contract and better be career, We all know he should be centering the 3rd line at best. But BB still plays him higher and in too many situations. How do we know if anyone else can win faceoffs on a PP when they don't get a chance? Why Koivu is even thought as a 'FO specialist' bewilders me since the rule change, Yet he still gets the nod. I'm sure the organization is just honering him in his last year by giving him all this responsibility but it just doesn't work anymore.

What is Dubnyk's injury? Is he in concussion protocol? From the highlights I thought it might be leg/knee do to the impact or spin around falling on the other. But I've also heard he hit his head also.

This ^^....I remember saying Fenton inherited a mess and was willing to give him a chance, But quickly showed by what he said and then did was mind boggling. Now Guerin is handed an even doubly worse mess. I know with all the contract issues that trying to get players up from Iowa is tough but at this point for Guerin to get a real look at this level, I'd like to see more of the youth get cycled in for playing time starting now. Forget Suter's TOI and play all 3 D equally. If you feel you have to play #20 the majority of the game then you have no faith in the rest of the D. Maybe knowing the team will be showing off some of the future players regularly, It might generate some interest for the fans. Right now, They're barely an afterthought.

I only was able to see the 'highlights' last night. They actually showed our chances in the 1st. But we're used to those results....Almosts!!... Every goal I could see a #20 and #48 not doing a thing. I used to think that would be a better combo than Suter/Dumba but not last night. Hopefully Spurgeon doesn't pull a Zucker with the big contract signing hangover. Stalock hasn't shown anything new or inproved with now many chances in the last 2 years. A mediocre back up.

No credit to CenturyLink but Bila was actually pretty clear tonight. Got to see part of 2nd at Houlihans and the last 12 minutes at home on PC. Looked like a different team finally.

You want serious...Ok, Pretty much as you stated then. BB history shows he puts Koivu against the top line C.. It's tough to guess with the 'Boudreau Shuffle' almost nightly to know what lines there'll be*. lol. Whoever BB chooses to key on him, I'm guessing the idea would be to clog up middle and force him to the boards, Then hope the D is in place if he gets by. But obviously If the Wild focus too much on McD then the rest will have a field day. *I've only been able to see 1 full game and parts of 4 others so it's tough to get a feel of this team for me. (DISH...Bad Centurylink routing from ancient hub, So streaming (hulu) is a poor option...a few online like Bilasport, which is a terrible feed but free. etc etc) I haven't missed much but I still want to see the games.

What you're actually saying is How many times do we get to see Mikko in just his jock tonight.

I didn't say soon did I? After the burning,... After some changes from BG...After Hell freezes... give or take. I haven't looked at the schedule, So no looking for a group of struggling teams. Usually doesn't happen that way anyhow. Hopefully a streak happens after some changes because a 5-10 win streak and the brass will think the ship's been righted and pull back on changes. I picked 5 because it's reachable. Less than 4 isn't much of a "streak".

As I agree to all the player analysis ^^ ...I'll add 1 thing. Take the play book and BURN IT. The Wild are so predictable in every facet of their game. For me, The PP is tied for worst with the Dump and Chase. On the PP, It's all about setting up Dumba for a blast...Everytime. It may work for Ovie but Dumba is a far cry away talent wise. So easy to defend. Then there's the play (prior to the D+C) where the forward while moving into the neutral zone will usually drop the puck back to the D...Usually Suter. Now about 6-7 total playes are clogging up the blue line area with little choice but to power through??...No D+C. Pass to a forward again?, They're standing still. Takes away any powerful entry or rush. This drives me nuts. I see no advantage in this play at all. Someone please tell me why teams even do this?

So what's the biggest Win streak do you all think they'll have this season? I'll go with 5. It could happen.

It's hard to believe they'll have more wins than losses excluding the OT losses at this point.

Are you doing the Hulu-Firestick combo? I haven't pursued that yet since we have a terribly old routing in our area and heard of many having buffering issues. I've obviously not missed much. Caught some of the games on Bilasport but that's a horrible picture and I want to only watch Hockey on my big screen, Not a PC monitor. Then our internet was down all day yesterday anyhow.
