I can't believe the NHL.com Bracket advertised a 'Second chance'. Boo Hoo, So your 'pick' failed. Take your participation trophy and watch some interesting Hockey now. For the 1st time ever I went 0-4 in the RD1 West. So what?? I'm going to go out and shake my fist at some clouds now. ...and then watch and hope the Islanders go take the Cup.

If anyone asked me what's happened or going on with the Wild, I'd say "Read this". I'd have to believe Fenton knew overall 'most' of the issues when he took the job. And on paper he had an idea of the players he had but wanted to wait and see how they performed in person. For that I agree. I think most didn't expect such a drop off from certain players to this degree. Hard to say if Coyle and Nino were part of his general plan or was it a reaction move. One thing most can agree is we don't really know what Fenton's 'plan' is... Like stated. "Younger/ faster" and yet he bows to Staal's wishes and resigns him, Things like that. The new management over at the Twins have done a solid job and now in their 3rd season the effects are showing. That team is now relevant and legit. I'm willing to give Fenton some time to see if his plan has some real answers. We have pretty much lost any patience with the team and rightly so, But Fenton does need some time to be fair. There's no quick fix for this mess we're in.

Now isn't Kaprisov the one we had 'issues' with his agent/ He had issues with his agent in regards to signing in the NHL? Has that become clearer and Is there any issue of Kaprisov not wanting to be on this team? I know we own the rights to him, So I thought.

What I don't understand is why Fenton signed Zucker to this contract in the First place. Soon after supposedly he was actively trying to trade him before the season. (Part of cap reduction maybe?) Fenton didn't know what was going to happen with Zucker's production this season obviously at that time. Then mysteriously, A last second glitch cancels a trade at the deadline. Now because of the NTC that Fenton gave him, He's looking to trade him before that kicks in...??? We seem to be in decent shape with cap space as it is now. Do we need more?? I'm just confused over that whole run of this. If Fenton claims it's about this year's production, Then that's just an overreaction. Imo. I saw the last PO game and you might as well of put Nino in a Green jersey. Where was all this miraculous production? (I know it was just that game that I saw) He was the same as he was here. Mishandled plays, Slow and even the last to show up to a scrum and do nothing. At least from Rask, I can see in the next season some possibility instead of the same 'ol Nino cr4p.

I really don't care if J.T. wants to knock back a bunch, Light one up and show up hungover (for a non issue game). But to go as far as getting arrested breaches the line. Totally selfish and I don't want that type in the locker room. I agree, Bury him in Iowa if we have to keep him. Make him play his way back...lol...And I mean really show some improvement. Give some Iowa guys a chance for some 4th line play. Those who want to be here. Imagine if Fenton was given a choice on free agents. 1. He could listen to forums like this one. 2. He goes with the FB crowd... Welcome to the SOH Joe Pavelski. Safe play by signing a recognizable name (again) and fill the seat instead of taking a chance on a FA who may end up playing like Donato did.

All 4 great points. I'd like to see at least #3 happen just to see if Boudreau can really handle this team. Then #4 would actually be possible too. I wonder what the waiting list for 'The Warming house' is like now. As long as there's people in there waiting for tickets, CL will be happy.

I hear ya. I always look for an upset early hence me picking Carolina to upset the Caps. But like Bill Murray said... It was good but, It just wasn't great ...So I went after the Bolts. The East overall is so much stronger, I figured if it happens it'll be there.

Having spent many a day at Canterbury Downs, These PO's with such a clear cut favorite in Tampa Bay reminds me of many races with a 3-5 Fav. Not worth even betting but ripe for an upset. Meaning the new signings or Ek, Greenway, Kunin or All? Doesn't matter, If Fenton's true to his word about getting younger then all these guys need more playing time and figure it out....Together !!.

I wonder if J. T. Brown thought about next season's salary $687,500 when he goes off and gets drunk before the last game. Maybe some team will pick it up. Is it just him being stupid and selfish and not caring about the team? Or a product of the overall environment of the locker room? Whatever, I'd rather see him gone...Even before this event.

It would be very interesting if the same scenario was to happen today. (All the events) How would the team and the NHL handle it, Especially with the media coverage.

Wow, Great read. I remember all those different scenarios which led up to the demise. Especially the deals with the existing arenas and the MOA. Poor Lou, He did his best throughout it all. I never really used Norm's harassment as a reason for them moving. Too easy. Proof that even back then the media loves drama in sexual harassment stories than business dealings. I still have that 'transition' jersey. I've tried to sell it a few times in a garage sale and one time was asked why I had a Dallas jersey....
