I have season tickets to the Rochester Americans so I got a chance to see Brennan for a few seasons. Guy has a ton of offensive upside and a killer shot. He was always picked first in shootouts, when D are rarely picked. Because he is so offensive minded and likes to carry/rush the puck he makes some errors or leaves his partner hanging. I agree that if he can tighten up his defensive game and play a bit more physical in his own zone, he will be a solid 5/6 d-man at a relitively cheap price. He is from Jersey so I actually had hoped the Flyers would have claimed him off waivers the few times he went back and forth between Rochester and the Sabres.

As the Sabres sink further and further so is Miller and Vanek's value on the market. Neither player is interested in signing a new deal and being part of a rebuild. If Regier is the GM of the worst team in the league come trade deadline, he will never get fair value for Miller or Vanek because he will be dealing from a position of weakness.

With all of the goalie injuries right now, Miller should be moved sooner than later.

Good blog, Thanks!  I am not a fan of having Rosehill on the roster, not sure what he offers and I think the days of dressing "an enforcer" have past the NHL by. Flyers need to be able to roll 4 lines, hopefully Hall will get recalled and Rosehill will get pushed to the healthy scratch list most nights much like is predecessors Shelley and Cote.

Does Regier know free agency started at noon on July 5th?
