I just thought everyone should be as informed as possible .......  hope you don't mind.

Full transparency .....  I am not as strong in updated cancer chemotherapy treatments... I just don't do enough of it on a daily basis.

Thanks for all the information (although mostly above my head).  I think he's in one of the better cities and hopefully beats this ****.  It is so sad.  Prayers for Oskar!!!  🙏

Lol. It was just a joke, not a good one really. Some of my best friends are French speakers. Like Podein25 Jr - she's fluent in French, English and Millennial.

    Millennial.....love it!!!!

Definitely a language that makes me feel all of my years!!!!

Ottawa’s Brady Tkachuk has been fined $2,486.56, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Cross-checking Philadelphia’s Scott Laughton.

Nice to see him get called on the carpet for this one.  There was absolutely no reason for that craziness!!

And does anyone lip read?  I'm trying to tell what Laughton said to the bench after he scored the goal!!!!

When you trade a player the quality of Gaudreau, you can't afford to get it wrong.

From a Flames perspective: Samuel Morin has played only 2 full seasons stretching back to 2012. He's a lot more likely to spend his time watching hockey games than find himself playing in them. His health could turn around, but it's too big of a gamble, so I would have no interest in him due to this. For me, it would then be down to Gaudreau for older, less productive, more expensive, and some magic beans.

I would never make that deal.

How about if we throw in Gritty??

The thing i found most interesting from the game was, the reaction in the stands. Weve all heard about a coach losing a room. Well i think this team has lost its fans.  It was obvious the place wanted to erupt, but nothing happened to cause it. It was weird how there was no energy. And when a few good things happened,  the applause was brief and uninspired. It wasnt until TK took the ice for the SO, before the whole place was on its feet

Well, I hope you at least had a good time anyway.  It has been this way for a few years now.  Some of it may be the 'corporate crowd' but I do think that the passion has definitely been sucked out of the room of late.  I don't go as frequently as I used to but I do get what you're saying.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Philly!!!!

I'm looking forward to the decision for who plays between the pipes tonight.  They can keep playing Elliot but the more you play him the higher the risk of injury.

    If I was coach -

    • Elliot vs Pens (Tuesday)
    • Hart vs Devils (Friday) -  If you want, you can bring up Lyon as the backup for the game otherwise you don't pull Hart no matter how bad it gets.  Let him work through this and Elliot needs a rest.
    • Elliot vs Leafs (Saturday)
    • Decide next Tuesday against the Hurricanes after Saturday's game.

I agree on Hart! Unless he is nursing some kind of injury (not that I heard anything), he needs to work through the issues, no matter how ugly it gets.  He is human and hopefully he can work his way out of it soon.

I think Chuck has a soft spot for him.

I said elsewhere it's tough to not root for him a little after watching the Behind the Glass series.

AV seems to have turned a corner on him, and he's around him all the time.

I don't think he's the reason Joel Farabee is in Lehigh Valley, they're in different lanes.

They definitely focused on him A LOT during the series and as long as he isn't costing us much (money, contract, or otherwise), I don't really have a problem with it.  I'm sure he's good in the room 😉  I did hear was was very good in the shootout, so there's that !

speaking of hating, I think I might actually stigmata bleed when I see Wayne Simmonds wear a goddamned Devils sweater, jesus, I almost don't want to tune into the game because of that.  But since the Flyers only get to play one game every 14 days, I'm afraid I'll get to missing hockey,  not sure what to do...

I know, right!  Question is, will they boo Simmonds as he hopes, or cheer him as I expect!

I would love to know who plans these schedules.  I can barely make it to the end of an 8 o'clock game and we have this west coast BS already?  They hate us!

I don't know if you are watching the "Behind the Bench" thing that NHL Network is broadcasting about the Flyers preseason but AV is definitely NOT taking any ****.  The was an answer to a question last night, don't remember what it was, but his response was "They don't have a choice".

Probably a much different coaching style than they're used to, but I like it. Do they?  Hold them accountable! And it seems if the younger guys play better, harder, etc. than some of the vets, he wouldn't hesitate to let the kids play.

He is in Europe.  That's why I wonder if it was due to something unusual or just an off game.

That's true, they do tend to start drinking earlier in Europe.  Hopefully it is just a blip and he bounces back quickly.  He certainly doesn't seem to be the type of goaltender that would let this get the better of him.

I know he has experience on the rink, but how much did the international rink angles play a part?  Or too much partying or something for a young kid in Switzerland?

Is he even old enough to party?  Are most of them?

I hope @brelic isn't right about the first 20 games.  I don't want to lose interest that early in the season.

Maybe they'll be better in CZ?????
