    Avon scored some big timely Goals last year. Seems to have that "it" factor. Interested to see how he does in the A and if he can secure top 6 status. Seems like Forester is already tentatively ✏ in for the Flyers...but Brink and or Desnoyers can certainly force their hands with exceptional camps.

    I'm stuck between Leonard's physicality and Moores speed. Both seem to have excellent work ethic. I'd be thrilled with either one...but Moores overwhelming speed creates mismatches, so I lean towards him.

    I think the key here is the Flyers/Canes are breaking the actual rule, but not the spirit of the rule. Why? Because Fletcher gave DeAngelo a new deal, which had nothing to do with the Canes cap situation and this deal is under a new Flyers regime. Its pretty obvious nobody is skirting the cap...but I do understand why the rule is in place. Quite possible the NHL looks at the specifics ànd allows it to go through.

    I'm really hoping the Blues send him to the AHL for the remainder of the deal. Just bury this guy...no buy out...just let him ride the bus for 4 years!!

    Deal will be announced after St.Lois deal is finalized. Unknown prospect coming back to Flyers.

    Agreed on in principal per Elliott Friedman. Flyers to retain 50% of his salary. Other moving pieces not finalized supposedly.

    Not fond of teams having overnight to ponder Krug and that contract. He clearly sucked as a #1 pp QB...with a LOT of talent around him. So, 6.5 mill for a 2nd pp qb and a minus 27, average wheels and no physicality....um yeah...sounds great!!

    I'm skeptical on the Schenn part...hard pass!! Blues just signed Peronivich to a 1 yr deal...hes young and good...hopefully involved??

    Krug is 32 and makes 6.5 mill until 26-27 season...ugly...and he's poop right now!!

    Good point...lol. Makes sense from a Flyers perspective....1 year commitment and ability to dump him at the deadline for a 2nd or 3rd. Interesting that Blues have multiple 1sts this year.

    Scandella makes the most sense. All the other Blues with a NTC are signed long term...BUT Scans has just a 7 team NTC...so Philly would have to be 1 of the 7? Full tank mode : Binnington

    Supposedly a 7 player trade. Blues are trying to convince a player to waive his no trade clause. Only confirmed player is Hayes right now.

    A true Flyer fan first, we all cheer wildly as no moves are made in FA and calculate how much cap space we saved by not frivolously spending to tread water!!

    I dont think you should attach weakness/strength of a position when discussing that type of talent. You pick it and let everything else sort itself out. He will be gone by 7...so not a problem we will have IMHO.

    The REAL danger is Michkov refuses to play here. He signs a 1 yr extension in the KHL and the Flyers lose his rights. Talent is there, of course but before you give up a top 7 pick, you gotta be 100% sure he comes.

    Agreed. Salary retention is a necessary evil here. The key is freeing up cap space for 3 yrs down the road...when the Fletcher mess is (hoping) cleared up!

    Put me squarely in the Oliver Moore corner at #7. Why? 1)Best skater by far in this draft. 2)Compete level = off the charts. This kid take NO shifts off...ever. 3) Skill level...very nice already with tons of upside. Yes, he was 4th in scoring on a VERY talented team. IF he was on that top line, he would have similar stats to Leonard or Perreault. Smith WAS the straw that stirred the drink there...anyone playing with him is gonna get impressive stats! Moore all day long at #7!!

    Yes, when Sean Monahan signing significantly affects the FA depth at Center...well, let's just say this is not 2019 Sean Monahan...lol. It is a thin crop of UFAs at C. Here is where the leverage ends...Hayes has serious skating deficiencies....and its not lack of motivation (ok...maybe some)...he has serious lead in boot disease, and its only gonna get worse. Imagine what his skating looks like in 2-3 years?? All GMs are gonna be asking themselves this very question!

    I'm more than fine with retaining 3 mill of KH contract and getting a 7th or even future considerations...ie you might owe us a slight upgrade if we make a deal under the Briere regime...lol. I remember when we got Hayes...it was split 50/50 on whether it was a good deal. FC was rather outspoken on it sucking and even warned it would screw us over! Amazing how spot on FC has been through the years!

    Thrilled. Some hope. No way is Chuckles creative enough to include the 3rd team to maximize the return. A very nice start for Danny boy!!
