This team is hard to watch, the D doesn't hit, they give up the ice way to easy and the forwards think a pretty pass is better than a goaI. If Lavy has a "system", I'd sure as heck like to know what it is. I like Lavy but it this team doesn't turn around fast ( at least have a better and less passive attitude ..) he's gone. It's not the loss of games that hurts the most.... it's the way they are lost. No fight... They give up one goal and think the game is over ( well in some cases, that's true ).

Someone find us _someone_ who knows how to play D and can coach line changes .... It's pretty obvious after last night no one on the flyers has a clue.

Amen, we need a D that is smart, hard and hits. Sometimes I think our forwards hit harder than our D does.

Ok, having center ice is a great thing for me out here in Colorado... I see more games than when I lived in Philly... in fact every game. Thank god for DVR. In any case, watching this team over the long haul is forcing me to explode. #1 This is the first year I can remember where Snider has not pulled the strings to try and help the team improve. ( Maybe he's catching the Eagles sickness... ie as long as the seats get filled anything is ok. #2 For some reason, Lavy is having a hard time getting this team to come out and play. They come out at the start of every period like it's a practice session and the other teams are taking advantage.. Lavy... hint THE WORD IS OUT. #3 I remember when this team ... note the word "team" knew how to hit. Now we just have one or two people who can do it and the rest just know how to skate backwards and give up ground. #4 Now that G had the C I guess he needs to just pass the puck to others and not shoot... he did try a little last night so that's a good sign. #5 Please, can someone teach the D how to play D... there's basic mistakes that are happening. There must be a cure for brain dead disease out there somewhere. Ok, can't say I feel better but at least I tried.

If they're going to be giving up games by playing him, they would be better served to bring up someone from the AHL and just call it a training night.

Well I guess we have to go back and remember that this was a "rebuilding" year... at least we have a decent O ( if they would shoot now and then )... Maybe while the players are playing golf this summer the management will put some effort into the D. They gave away 51 mil on one player... maybe they should now put some money into D men who can keep the puck away from him <g>.

Rinaldo would be a welcome change... at least he has something between his legs.

Oh Oh, the Devils figured out that we don't have a D... they can't hit, they can't stand people up and they certainly can't hit anyone.

Why is it that our D thinks every time the puck is in their zone, they act like it's a power play. Why can't for just once, they stand someone up and hit them... why do they back off like they're playing in an all star game. Are they as bad as they look... or are they coached to play like that? And to make up for our D the forwards need to learn that you score by actually shooting the puck at the net now and then. <g>. If the O can't make up for the D ( that's not there ), this series is over in game 5.

Nice post... glad there's still some class left in the Pitt land... we need more like you ( the sport needs more like you ). Too bad it was a first round... deserved to be later.

Just tell the D to play like it's an open net.... cause it will be no matter who plays in front of it <g>.
