you illustrate the reality, spot on
in the absence of anything to actually cheer about, optimism in a small moral victory gets magnified. Thus is the life of a Flyer fan
Speaking completely from an emotional POV, YES! They are, without a doubt, the worst team and franchise in hockey right now. I hate them for what they've done. I hate them for Hayes. I hate them for JVR. I hate them for Nolan Patrick. I hate them for Chuck Fletcher. And of course for some other player I won't mention, AGAIN!
But, allegedly there is hope. This is a true rebuild. So in true Philly fan fashion, my hate can be assuaged quite easily
"In addition to Hart, several other players on the 2018 Hockey Canada World Junior team have also gone dark on their Instagram accounts. Twitter users noticed that Brett Howden of the Vegas Golden Knights, Dillon Dube of the Calgary Flames, Jonah Gadjovich of the San Jose Sharks have also done the same, although some have claimed that Dube and Gadjovich were private already."
got that from an online story.....Id guess it had more to do with the investigation being wrapped up, then Hart getting moved
If Sanheim was worth anything significant, teams would be lining up for his services. Considering the teams current state, it would makes sense that he would agree to move on. If he has "another mediocre season", his value (whatever it is), will plummet and may have no choice but to stick around
I know we all think Risto sucks donky-dick, but his teammates may not share that opinion
Thats sounds pretty opinion based to me. I thought I read that he met with our scouts on the down low. I would bet Philly sports related websites would find that a badge of honor meaning he wanted to be here.
Im not sure Im following this correctly.......
SKA is the richest team in Russia. Russia wants to show dominance over the rest of the world. Putin's friend's son is the head coach of that team. They are benching their most talented player as a retaliation against the Flyers and IIHF over a ruling on a goalie who isnt on that team. They had no intention of following that ruling anyway.
Am I missing something?
at 1:39 in the video I can see contact to the head just prior to the body. His helmet snaps back. Not saying youre wrong, just sayin there is head contact first. I disagree it was incidental
its clearly apples to oranges
He was definitely meaner. As skilled? I think maybe you're right. I remember an interview with other NHLers where many said they thought he would be the first to score 100 goals in a season. Honestly, if head shots werent allowed back then, I really think he wouldve lasted longer, and stayed in Philly longer. I really think we would've won a cup
Let's quibble then.....
Was E a superstar? Yes
Was he at that level for a significant period of time for the Flyers? Yes
No, he wasn't drafted. He was acquired in a trade. But that trade happened before he ever played an NHL game, so it was essentially the same as drafting him
