    Leafs and Risto heating up.

    Getr Done Danny.

Could be interesting.   The Maple Leafs don't have a ton of interesting trade capital, assuming that Nylander is off the table -- I wouldn't put him on it.

    So, they have their 2024 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th.

2025 is ugly:   3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th.  (When did Clarkgren start running the Leafs?)

2026, they have everything but their 2nd.

I don't know a ton about most of their prospects, but Easton Cown and/or (maybe) Noah Chadwick would be my asks.

If I'm trading Risto to the Leafs and it's not simply about subtraction, I'm retaining $2M/season for two years and asking for Max Domi ($3M --plus the $2M retain) helps the Leafs get down to the cap and he's a UFA this summer so maybe flip him at the deadline; if not, he's off your books), plus their 4th and either Cown or Chadwick or both.

    Out:   Risto

    In:   2024 4th, Domi, Cown/Chadwick

    OR:

    Out:  Risto

    In:  Domi, 2024 1st.

I'm dreaming with the first.  I just don't see it, but apparently Toronto trades picks because it's Tuesday, so...

I don’t get this coach.  They deserve to lose.  He is the only goalie that is half good.  I’m not watching them now.  So I don’t bother looking at the site listing the goalies.  I assumed he had the common sense to play Luukenen against a hot team.  I just looked and he’s listed injured /illness.  Maybe Covid?

Yes, he was out for medical. They don't randomly call someone up from the AHL to play emergency backup on a coaching whim.

To steal @Samifan:s terminology:  finger on the pulse.

For that matter many questioned hockey...

People watch "inferior" product all the time.

This is kind of where I went.

In many cities, though, that have multiple sports--at least in the States--hockey is last or near last. In some cities, it's arguably behind college-level games.

I'm just wondering in cities that have an NHL team that is already drawing the small percentage of people who are hockey fans whether there's enough revenue available.

If they kept it to arenas only somewhat bigger than the Coyotes home rink, it would probably be a nice niche thing.   Kind of "hey, what do you want to do tonight?  Do you want to go to Dave & Busters, the art museum, or to the women's hockey game? The game starts at 7:30, so if that's what you want to do, make sure to get there before the first row sells out at 7:20."

The other thing I remember about the site--constant warnings from McAfee about malicious blah, blah, pop-ups, and whatever.  We don't have that problem, thankfully.

I didn't have McAfee, so thankfully I didn't have the constant warnings nuissance.

What the HELL are you talking about!!??

If the Flyers were to somehow get him, you just KNOW DILLABAUGH will straighten him right out! :shifty:

No more low, lazy glove hand or propagandic technique...no sir!
Campbell will be right as rain!!

Interesting. I remember someone mentioning once that Dillabaugh wasn't any good.  He was vague and subtle about it, so I'm not entirely sure he was serious.  Maybe he was being sarcastic and meant Dillabaugh is as you describe.   Unless he corrects me, I'll go with that.

I figured this for a tough night but not Talbot shutout tough. From the little I saw the Flyers' PK was good and that's about it.

Foerster really needs to shake it off. Somebody has to pull him aside and tell him to cool it eventually the goals will come. Right now the kid is pressing so hard he can't see straight.

He may need to sit and watch for a game. If he's not waivers exempt, send him down for a confidence booster.
