Nick Foligno was acquired by the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday in a three-team trade involving the Columbus Blue Jackets and San Jose Sharks.

Columbus traded the forward for a first-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft from Toronto.

The Sharks received the Maple Leafs' fourth-round pick in 2021.

Toronto received forward Stefan Noesen from San Jose.

Foligno, who was captain of the Blue Jackets, has scored 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) this season. He has scored 482 points (203 goals, 279 assists) in 950 regular-season games with the Ottawa Senators and Blue Jackets.

It was the third trade the Blue Jackets made in three days.

They sent forward Riley Nash to the Maple Leafs on Friday for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2022, and defenseman David Savard was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday in a three-team trade that also involved the Detroit Red Wings. Columbus received a first-round pick in 2021 and a third-round pick in 2022 in the Savard trade.

as  someone who watches way more cbj hockey than he should IMHO a first and a fourth for Foligno is robbery. his game has atrophied his scoring is down he could be a decent add for the leafs but very hefty price
