ESPN Announcer Roster

Solid enough roster, I guess.
Many of these I know who they are, but not familiar with their studio work, or don't know at all.

Kevin Weekes, Ryan Callahan, and AJ Mieczko I am familiar with as analysts.
I don't mind listening to them.

Steve Levy as a play by play guy, John Buccigross doing the same...could work out. Will have to hear how they call games to be sure.

Not crazy about Barry Melrose (too repetitive and over the top sometimes from what I remember) and Brian Boucher (Captain Obvious), but we will see how they do.
That Greg Wyshinski fancies himself a comedian going by his tweets.... he is NOT really that funny.... so hopefully he just sticks to reporting news items.

Others I can't really comment on their work as I haven't heard them work before.
I would think people like Messier, Chelios, and Ferraro would have good insight being former long time players, but again, we will see.

I would have liked Keith Jones, but he probably either stays local with the Flyers broadcast, or goes to NHL Network, maybe taking Weekes former spot alongside the Queen of Hockey (IMO) Jamie Hersch. :)

Leah Hextall announced well in the recent NCAA Frozen Four.

Haven’t heard about new TNT announcer decisions since Kenny Albert and Eddie Olczyk were named almost 2 months ago.

The good thing about Melrose is that we get free frequent mentions of his small Saskatchewan hometown.  Gotta have that regular Kelvington fix!

was the #2  announce team with Darren Pang when ESPN was doing hockey

He was excellent, so was the Panger.

I like Darren Pang.
I vaguely remember him as a ESPN announcer in the 90's due to still being quite young and just starting out as an NHL fan at that time, but over the years, I have enjoyed his commentary on Blues broadcasts via the Centre Ice package we purchase every year.
