GrittyForever Posted August 19, 2023 Share Posted August 19, 2023 My own feeling (and it's just speculative and an opinion) is that they won't try to stop Michkov because he is going to be a star and, like with Ovechkin, they like the idea of their "stars" dominating in North America. They can point to them and say look, we are the best at everything. Maybe he has to agree to represent on their World teams or something but I think they won't stop him from coming. The lesser guys they try to control and keep so that they have a league and they can exercise power over them.
