Mario99
Said Streit is 35 years old and Vinny's best days are behind him thats why Tampa bought him out but both guys have 2 points in 3 games but G, Simmer, Hartsy, Voracek, Read, Coots have zero points

pilldoc
@Mario99 Nothing earth-shattering. That really is old news and nothing new to us. Most of us on here have argued against those signings the moment the occured.
FreakinFlyersFan
I'm thinking the pick up of Lecavalier was a steal, you know how many teams wanted this guy? Streit is too early to tell. pilldoc
I'm thinking the pick up of Lecavalier was a steal, you know how many teams wanted this guy? Streit is too early to tell.Vinny was not what this team needed. Especially with that monster contract he now has. Vinny is 33 and his numbers have been steadily dropping year by year. I would have rather Homer just say "thank you I pass" and let the younger guys develop. Streit...sorry has not impressed me at all so far. (another 35+ contract) Meanwhile Guss sits in the pressbox. aziz
Vinny is 33 and his numbers have been steadily dropping year by year. not really. 1.31p/g - 1.12 - .87 - .85 - .83 - .76 - .82 there was one big drop, and a new normal that has stood fairly stable over the last five seasons, a little over .80p/g. the summer between the 1.12 and .87p/g seasons, summer 2008, was where he had shoulder surgery (thank you matt cooke), and he took a big step back there. but he has been consistent at his new normal since. Gus was terrible in pre-season but that's pre-season.
pilldoc
Vinny has looked like the best guy out there so far and has a goal and assist.no arguing how he is playing now...yes I agree he is 1 of 3 guys that have earned their paycheck. My beef is Homer never should have signed him in the first place. He is not what this team needs.
