Guy on NHL Network said signing Lecavalier & Streit were bad moves

I'm thinking the pick up of Lecavalier was a steal, you know how many teams wanted this guy? Streit is too early to tell.

Vinny was not what this team needed.  Especially with that monster contract he now has.  Vinny is 33 and his numbers have been steadily dropping year by year.  I would have rather Homer just say "thank you I pass" and let the younger guys develop.

Streit...sorry has not impressed me at all so far.  (another 35+ contract) Meanwhile Guss sits in the pressbox.

not really.  1.31p/g - 1.12 - .87 - .85 - .83 - .76 - .82

there was one big drop, and a new normal that has stood fairly stable over the last five seasons, a little over .80p/g.  the summer between the 1.12 and .87p/g seasons, summer 2008, was where he had shoulder surgery (thank you matt cooke), and he took a big step back there.  but he has been consistent at his new normal since.

Vinny has looked like the best guy out there so far and has a goal and assist.

Like I said about Streit, too early to tell. Gus was terrible in pre-season but that's pre-season.

no arguing how he is playing now...yes I agree he is 1 of 3 guys that have earned their paycheck.

My beef is Homer never should have signed him in the first place.  He is not what this team needs.
