TropicalFruitGirl26 Posted November 26, 2013 Share Posted November 26, 2013 He is indeed continuing to look VERY good in the Major Juniors...maybe by next season he gets a taste of the AHL so he has an idea of what to expect at the NHL level? Only 18, and I bet he is in a bit of a hurry, and I do think he may be ready for AHL play......once he hits the NHL, he will find it a totally different animal. Even Steve Stamkos found things a bit tough his first year in the NHL....some more seasoning with vets and bigger bodies at the AHL level..maybe add about 10 pounds of muscle, and he may be ready for the NHL and play right alongside guys like Stammer, Killorn, Panik, Johnson, Gudas, and Hedman. I think the shots last game were in the 50-15 range and Russia won in a shootout. Ekblad was named player of the game.
