He probably  celebrated his goal a little too enthusiastically

"The Flyers' forward scored his first goal of the season in the Flyers' 3-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens, but sustained a left high-ankle sprain the process, according to Flyers general manager Paul Homgren. Rinaldo is expected to miss six weeks.

As far as recalling an extra player, Holmgren told CSNPhilly.com the club has filed paperwork to get a roster spot.

"Once that is official," he said, "we will recall a player. We can't announce anything due to the rules."

Rinaldo's injury comes as a surprise, as he was in good spirits after the game and didn't walk with a limp or have any ice taped to his foot or ankle. He led all Flyers in shots against the Canadiens with four, but played just 4:53 -- significantly shy of his average of 7:30.

Rinaldo had played in all of the Flyers' 44 games this season. He leads team with 101 penalty minutes and 135 hits."

Although he is not what you would call an intricate piece of the team, he has played his role well and his energy will be missed. At least with the Olympic break he should not miss too many games.

Makes me think he hurt it in a post game workout.

He actually played about 3 minutes less than his normal ice time so I would guess it might have happened during his bout with Prust.
