Polaris922
Report is he'll miss at least two games...http://www.cbc.ca/m/touch/sports/nhl/story/1.2552131
jammer2
@Polaris922 NO WAY!! We all know how bad backs have a chance to linger....if this happened at the Olympics, what a HUGE blow to the playoff chances of the Habs! Even the two games could hurt, but they do have the luxury of Budja, one of the leagues very best back ups.

jammer2
@Polaris922 Hmmm, interesting. I could see Price hiding this injury at all costs, so he did not get pulled from any Medal games...wow. The Habs will be furious if this lingers.
radoran
@jammer2Yet another Olympics based injury... Carrying Team Canada on his back obviously wasn't a good thing for him. That said, carrying the heavier burden of Montreal can't be that much easier. There's nothing to say that he wouldn't have had the exact same problem had he played the last three weeks for Montreal that he did in Sochi. But it tends to run teams differently when their key players get hurt playing for someone else...
JackStraw
Do people not realize that this injury issue works both ways? Stamkos has had an extra two weeks to recover without missing any games. I'll bet Stevie Y isn't to upset about that. VLC has had a couple weeks to rest his back. That certainly can only help his play. I'd say the number of players who benefit from the Olympic break is greater than the number who are injured during the Olympics.
jammer2
Jeez, talk about the best of both worlds, Canada gets a Gold, and the Habs get screwed over a bit....maybe more than a bit!! I'll take that!!
