Well, exactly. This horse has already been used in a nursery school construction paper collage.

 

I think the Hawks had a very good chance to win without him - and I don't for a second believe he "put them over the top."

 

But*, in a Finals where five games were decided by one goal and a Conference Final where half of Chicago's wins came in one-goal games, there was a very small margin of error.

 

If the Hawks felt that Kimmo was worth two (probably low) 2nds to narrow that margin, then it was worth it for them. And, apparently, they did.

 

As I've said many times here and the other thread, it's likely a win/win for both teams. If the Hawks had lost, I'd say they lost the trade hands down.
