Ovechkin has 6 points in this series.  Backstrom has 4 assists in 6 games.  Kuznetzov, zip.  Some of the same on defense, just not getting it done.

Great job by the Penguins to not get down on themselves for letting the lead get away from them and stepping up and getting the GWG in OT. Next series against the Lightning should be a great one.

Kuznetsov only has 2 points in 11 games this postseason. Seeing as how he was their top point producer. That is significant.

I do feel for Ovechkin. It's not really his fault the Caps can't get over the hump.

It isn't him. You have to look at players like Kuznetsov who really s--- the bed this series and really the entire playoffs. It also definitely isn't Oshie, Holtby, or even the likes of Carlson or Backstrom. Orpik made some stupid mistakes with getting suspended for 3 games which was also huge and then the big penalty tonight really added to hat.
