Should Virtanen be Suspended for Slamming Nordstrom's Head into the Boards?

I'm not going to ask will he, because DoPS is too inconsistent. But should he? He makes an initial hit and Nordstrom falls and slides into the boards. That's when Virtanen reaches down and uses his hand to bang Nordstrom's head into the boards.

 

 

What say everyone?

I said yes, and would say 3-4 games because it's in no way possible that's just a hockey play gone wrong. I don't care if it had no chance to injure Nordstrom. That's malicious as hell.

Yeah I would give Virtanen 2 or 3 games for the deliberate shove with a defenseless player's head going close to full speed into the boards. That looked like intent to injure to me. Not sure if he's a repeat offender, but if he is, give him 4 or 5. Dirty, unnecessary play.

This is shameful on two levels:

-Virtanen for doing something so dirty and possibly injury causing.

-Shorthouse and Garrett for laughing it off and not calling out their own player.
