:580b8617670e1_firstplace:How about Rust scoring his first career hat trick?

What is a natural hat trick? I'm guessing 3 straight goals by a player in one period. If this is correct, should an opposing player scores is it still considered a "natural" hat trick?

It was nice to see the offense come to life last night!

Fleury giving up four goals on sixteen shots! I starting to wonder if he really wants to play here? To me, his play and his words don't match!

It's 3 in a row, without anyone else scoring period.

OK! Thanks I thought that was it! I had doubts!

No worries...you're a Pens fan so you've only been watching hockey since Crosby was drafted. :5726b5f6e7bd6_bigteeth:

OK, now we're even on the Jagr thread comment :toast:

Ouch.      But wait, i thought it was that we only started when Lemieux was drafted?

The Natural Hat Trick definition depends on whom you talk to.    I've heard people define in an any of these ways.

1) Three goals in a row

2) Three goals in a row in the same period

3) Three goals in the same period

Personally I always thought it was three in a row in the same period.

I always thought it was three goals in a game excluding an empty net goal.

I thought Donald Trump, US President, was nearly impossible, so lot's of the time I don't know what I'm talking about apparently.

That's not as good of a burn though.

I've only ever heard of it as three in a row.
