But who said it had boats on it?

It's just that larger "boats" like the cargo ships you mentioned, tend to have smaller boats on them, like rescue boats, kodiaks whatever, that makes them ships not boats.

Yeah, my brother was in the Navy for 20 years.   I'll tell you what I always told him:  a ship is a type of boat.  The rest is just sailors having a "my dingy is bigger than yours"  ruler contest.

Actually Nashville's "I like it - I love it - I want some more of it" is another good one.  The yotes have the howling coyotes.

@WordsOfWisdom  the Capitals have the annoying sirens.

Oh yeah that's right. They have police sirens. Not as cool, but at least it's different. :)

Just for old times sake, since there's an entire generation of NHL fans alive now who have never heard a goal siren before, here you go:

:) My favorite team is the Pittsburgh Penguins. When other teams used to use sirens besides the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Washington capitals still do.

I think most (or all) teams used a goal siren back in the day.

The New York Rangers might have been the first NHL team to use a goal horn.

Today, the Washington Capitals are the only NHL team with a goal siren and I don't know if they also combine it with a boat horn or just have the sirens only.

:)
