Unless there is something I don't know about - - ragging between you and OR - - some thoughts about the Flyers 4th line: 4th lines are valuable to successful teams. AV's 4th line profile/requirement is hard skating, hard forechecking, pin the other team in their own end, fast/strong backchecking, defensive work, PK duty. These attributes don't lend themselves to 'stats'. But, they are very important to a team's success. NAK fits that role well. Laughton-Bunnaman-Aube Kubel (ideal AV 4th line) The 24 yo NAK has played 4th line RW and 3rd line RW. His 4th line hard crashing intensity has been impressive. And, he has good offensive instincts and some versatility. Can be a solid playmaker when he is at his best. He also displays good two-way acumen, and has shown consistency. He is capable of producing good point totals, and is a talented young winger with upside. All IMHO.

Would be nice if Frost followed Chuckles advice and worked on his core strength so he can handle the rigors of a more physical league. Fingers crossed.

What would your guess be on who most likely would be the top 'bounce back / breakout' Flyers player for this 2020-21 season?

Why not I'm pulling for the home grown talent to make things difficult on AV and the staff on who to dress on a nightly basis. Trying hard to be positive.

An under your skin type take the body player the Flyers need more of guy who is very sound 5 on 5 on or away from the puck. With a very accurate shot too boot. We both know it isn't fair to put him in the same catagry as the three I mentioned, although Tocchet in his early years is reasonable if its just stats one nice hit, a good goal, an occasional scrap? That doesn't impress me. Raffl can do that. And when NAK had his chance, after showing signs, he floundered I'd like to see a full season sampple

CoachX
I'm asking for a reset. All these names and possibles are giving me brain fog. Zzeke
Thinking about it being December tomorrow and no Flyers games to enjoy. But, our Eagles play tonight. No matter how our Philadelphia teams are playing, we remain loyal. It's a gloomy rainy day here in Central Pennsylvania. I just checked the weather forcast for Philadelphia (for tonight's Eagles home game): Thunderstorms likely through 9 PM. A few storms may be severe. GREATEST TORNADO THREAT today looks to set up from southeast VA through especially the Delmarva Peninsula to central/southern NJ/Philadelphia. - - should add interest to tonight's game. I post this with worry that this rookie may get in trouble for being off-topic and banned from our orange and black hockey forum.

Not to hi jack this thread but if the Doug runs the damn ball I think it can be a close game. And by run the ball I don't mean like last game where he runs it 8 straight times it works they can't stop it and he then just quits doing it because it works... My opinion: Lindblom-Couturier-Voracek Farabee-Hayes-Konecny Giroux-Patrick-Sandin (G will settle P and S) Laughton-Bunnaman-Aube Kubel (ideal AV 4th line) #13-Raffl (JVR out) (if Patrick's health fails, Frost is 3C) LD RD Provorov - Gustafsson (plays exclusively RD) Sanheim - Myers (RH) (don't break up) Hagg - Braun (RH) #7 - Friedman (RH) Ghost - traded
