"So instead of playing an Islanders team that has had major issues of late, we get Boston who has been winning comeback games vs Philly and Washington being the latest victims. The Devils need to be fined like hell. the Flyers played the Devils twice before they played the Sabres and the Flyers weren’t shut down. Hard to imagine no Flyers were exposed but Sabres were? Columbo A bit unfair to say he won nothing because we did not win the Cup. 3 Trips to the conference finals, a presidents trophy and a stanley cup finals vs Dallas that was a travesty the way it ended. It was not a good goal that the Stars were awarded the Cup on. You know it and so does anyone that knows hockey. Based on the rules of the day. Now the 06 team that won the Presidents trophy and lost game 7 vs Carolina, due to 4 starting D men being injured, especially Tallinder, was better than the 99 team that almost won it. And of course lost that fateful game to Dallas at lie 230 am in the morning on a hot June night in upstate NY. Bettman and the refs too tired to go any longer even when the replay showed the guys skate was in the crease. Lindy Ruff is the best coach we ever had. Ted Nolan was ok, but Ruff was the best.
