    He really was. He funks up the whole Flyers' game just like Hayes always did - even when he's not on the ice. The PP is more of a joke than ever with him on it. The SH goal: any other D-man with half a brain would've backed off right away to defend the rush. He's at the point, the TO happens way down in the corner he has plenty of time to react. Instead he floats back and lets Frost handle the rush alone.

     

    I don't know what to wish for. If he keeps stinking it up Briere will have to dump him for peanuts and pay half his salary. If he plays better they may convince themselves he's worth keeping.

     

     

    Yep. DB missed the chance to "trade him, his value will never be higher" about three weeks ago, on that Wednesday, after he had two good games in a row.

    Did you watch the game? Looked like he had limited minutes, a few shots, a few hits, even.

    Yeah they really seem to be playing for each other and the goalies are giving them no excuses to quit. Tortorella has been good for them in that respect. He’s got them playing a demanding game physically I wonder if it can last 82 (+?) games. If so they’ll be a tough out in the POs.

     

    Quite physical. To a man. Competing. Hard to play against.

    When we made that trade I was like: we need skill. He has the best skill, which is putting puck in the net. If it works out, it's a good trade.

    Can't wait. I like that the Boxing Day game is a good team not Austria or whatever. 

     

    Looking forward to seeing Bonk and some of my keeper league prospects: Luneau (he's amazing by the way), Ciernik, Hrabal

    Lol, my math sucks so I got lost in the twos a bit there.

    My view of the present is mostly along the lines of: building a winning culture, or a culture of winning (they may not be the same thing), is what matters.

     

    I'd much rather the young guys start building that than the opposite, which is an expectation of losing. All the talent in the world can't necessarily fix that once it takes hold.
