For Zuccs' sake, I hope Kap gets back before he ages out!
No better example of an NHL player NEEDING a star player to prop him up than Mats Zuccarello!
To lead...or not to lead....
Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the hits and pucks of being behind...
Or take shots against, thus ending their deficit...
As Sir Alfred the Butler once said,
"Tis better to have lead, then lost, then never to have lead at all"
And with THAT, we got the lead once again...
I'll quote Shakespeare next for the upcoming Wild goal
Wild got about as good a chance as they were gonna get to score just a bit ago.
One of their players left unmolested in the hashmark area....didn't get anything.
An omen for how this ends?
Might be.
I realize the Wild aren't gonna win'em all, but man, after playing so well the last couple weeks, you hate to see the wheels just fall off like they have tonight.
Undisciplined, coverage is spotty, Fleury looking like Stalock, and a parade of guys to the penalty box.
Who is that with LaPanta..?
Parrish?
He just said "Good PP by the Wild".
That's the sort of moral victory thing you say when your team is 1 for their last 15 on the man advantage.
Quick PP for the Wild.
No better time than right away for the Wild to start honing their PP.
Who knows...maybe by the 3rd period, they'll get it working!
Wasn't sure if a win would have done it tonight, but Bally Sports just said a win WOULD clinch a playoff spot for Minnesota, so even more for them to play for here!
And since Vegas holds the top points record in the West, that puts the Wild in contention for not only their division, but home ice in the West playoffs.
Just got done watching the Lightning punch their ticket to the post season, now gonna settle in and looking for Minnesota to add to their Central Division lead and do well against a team that many are saying could end up in the West Finals!
Go Wild!
