    Holik told the story a couple weeks ago,maybe he is right. Regarding the Ryan project I hope Homer doesnt give away the farm like the Pronger trade. After the latest draft its obvious he has low regard for first round picks.

    Homer had all season to sign Carle,if I were Carle it would be smart to see if other teams thought more of him than the Flyers. Anybody here think the Bruins miss Mark Reechi?

    Montoya would be my first choice.

    Not to be a total pessimist,but no matter who goes or who stays,with Bryzo in net things aren't going to change much. He's still the most immediate,pressing,defensive problem the Flyers have. Solve him and everything else becomes simpler.

    The downward spiral continues! Anybody here think Homer is coming unglued ?

    Terry Murray would be a big improvement over Lavi. Murray is a real NHL coach. I'd like to see Berube and Lindros with him in any capacity.

    Leighton is the Man! I never felt this guy deserved the lynching he got based on one goal. Is Terry getting ready to replace Lavi?

    Homer's bike accident must have must have damaged more than his bones! Now the Flyers have two over rated underperforming members of the same family on the team. Remember the Sutter twins? Deja Vu Homer! First the Crappo draft picks,now this.

    The Flyers finally have a decent group of young players and need to keep it going. They completed last season without Pronger,the Pens series was the best of the playoffs. This would be a good time for Coburn grow a set and become the defensive leader.

    Makes sense to me! I guess we'll see him about 2019 when he gets up to playing weight.

    Homer is taking the BPA to an extreme. Whats the status of Lavi's contract? I was thinking it expires 12/12.

    The way the Flyers are picking makes me think Homer believes Pronger will be back in 2012-2013. With Homer after it ain't over till its's over! Were any of the "D" men selected in the first or second round NHL ready ? Its too bad their isn't more publicity all season long about the young players.

    Not a bad move Homer and about 50 mil cheaper than Rasputin. After last nights pick who knows what Homer might do? Is Who still on first?

    The problem with these high profile offers are the asking price: A whole line, three for one trade from the Ducks or the BJ is absurd. Both these guy are consistent thirty goal scorers,Barber,Propp,forty goal guys,Kerr,LeClair fifty goal guys just for comparison. I read that Nash is considered a super star,I got to tell you when I think of a super star,Lindros comes to mind first.Neither Nash or Ryan is even close. Homer likes hype. I don't think either the Ducks or the BJ are serious about moving these guys,just fishing.

    From what I've been reading Laughton is somewhat of a Mike Richards clone.

    Why do we have to cross our fingers every time this guy faces a shot? Bryzo is 31/32 years old,he'll end up with $ 51,000,000. He should be performing with the best in the league. He's a journeyman,there should really be no excuse for the way he played last season. I would like to also be optimistic,I hope to win the Powerball in the not to distant future.

    One thing that that bugs me is Coburn,Mezzo,Carle,are youthful,talented and play at a level lower than what they are capable of. Daryl Sutter somehow got Jeff Carter,to forecheck,do a little body work,go in to the corners,etc. Why can't Lavi get these guys to play at a level they are capable of ? Maybe the "D" situation wouldn't be fuzzy if these three gave 110% every game. Coburn could step in to a leadership position on any team in the NHL,why not here ?

    I see Georges Laroque is attempting a return to the NHL at a very reasonable price according to him. He provides the ultimate goon factor and he can play a little. Replacing Shelley,Rinaldo and Sestito if needed along with freeing up some bucks.

    Homer could dangle Timmonen and Hartnell in a transaction for Webber ? Hartnell (Best year ever) could end their(the Preds) scoring drought and Kimmo could give a years breathing room on defense replacing Webber.Two for one sale.we know the Preds like these guys. I would not like to see the "The Homester" give up any of the young guys in trades!
