    @ jammer Yes we all want a cup. That's obvious. It's not like they don't try.I don't really remember them winning one . Too young. I became a fan in the 80's and I'm still a huge fan. Do they make mistakes? Obviously, but they try their best every year. Successful or not I'm here rooting for them.

    OK then. what should have been done different after last years huge disappointment? They've realized there mistakes and Are trying to move forward...I'm tired of hearing about the length and nmc of contracts. If that what it takes to get a player than so be it. We're better off today than we were last year And I can't wait for the new season to start.

    I agree to a certain point. The negativity on here about a team that sucked last year and trying to improve via free agency can be a bit brutal.

    I like the streit signing, the Vinny signing, the Emery signing and the locking up of G. I'm not a homer but how can any of those signings make us worse than last year. Who cares about the money? Its not ours. The years you have to give or you won't get or keep them.

    How can anyone complain about this? He's one of the best players in the NHL. He's only 25 and he's ours. Lock him up and show him the respect he deserves. G!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'm not sure how this kid will turn out but there's two things that I do know. 1: Those meaningless games that we won last year were a joke. 2: The Eagles (Reid) also drafted players in the 1st Rd that were projected to go much later. All of us Philly fans know how that turned out...

    I'll give Hartnell a pass this past season due to injuries. But if looks terrible things coming season we have a boat anchor to get rid of. We already have Scenn, Simmonds and maybe McGyn to play the same way. For the $ Hartnell makes I would rather have Horton. That's a discussion for another day...

    I was just looking at the dmen numbers this year. After kimmo streit was # 12 in the league in dmen scoring. The next flyer was Luke at like 70th. I know he's a little old but kimmo looked pretty good the last few years and I'm still waiting to hear a better option without getting rid of our young nucleus.

    Looking at our overpriced defense. How is he so bad? You guys should be complaining of how much we pay our own overrated dmen. This guy will instantly be one of our best dmen with a limited nmc that they can trade after 2 years. Also, don't forget that we gave up pretty much nothing (including our young core) to get him. Let me know what our options are in the free agent market cause I see nobody out there worth anything.
