@doom88 Believe it or not I was at his last game at the spectrum. Everyone and I mean everyone gave him a loud standing ovation at the end. He saluted the crowd and went into the locker. It was pretty cool. It helped that we won of course.

Good point about not giving up or doing the Pitt tank. The one thing I have to ask is why are we so much better defenSively after most of our starting d are on the shelf? Are our starters that bad? It's nice to see the young guys come up and actually play inspired in your face d. I even heard the announcers last night talking about the d clearing the porch. I think some of our starting d are vompletetly overrated. Fill in your player here.... just my 2cents.

How about starting out with a little waterboarding for the culprit? Then on to fingernail/toenail removal with a plyers. That's a good start. @flyercanuck Hockey fans are different here in the states. Look at the TV ratings. Football is king down here followed by baseball. Now when the spectrum was here that place was nuts. The new place is like a morgue unless its a playoff game.

I'm sorry but there's no comparison btwn an eagles tailgate vs any other philly team. Not to mention the stadium holds almost 60,000 people. When you get to the lot at 9 am for a 4 pm game and its sold out, that says something.

@ jackstaw I guess homer was hoping coburn and mez would fill that void. We know how that turned out. Getting Suter or Weber would have been nice too.

Enough man love on here for matt Carle. Yes he's got 19 pts but his +- is even. That means he gives up a lot of goals while he's on the ice. His team is also worse than the Flyers. Luke Schenn has 9 pts and is a + 2 on a terrible defensive team. Kimmo has 25 pts and a -2. Not bad. The problem is our defensive pairings after that. Coburn, gervais, foster have terrible numbers. Coburn should shoulder a lot of the blame. He doesnt look like hes getti g any better at all. Having mez hurt for most of the year doesn't help much either. Carles best years were playing next to pronger. Wouldn't hurt to have him still here but I like schenn better. Jmo
