Our d is in need of an upgrade but really is that upgrade of like subban for couts or scheen or both worth it now? I mean subban doesn't give us a cup this year. Anybody who thinks this is a legit cup contender with just one added dman is just a homer. I love the flyers but for the last two years I've been praying for lottery picks. That's where we will get our dman for the now and future. Sacrifice maybe two years for 10-15 years of top dmen now.

Selected the top two dmen in draft with picks 1 and 3 in first round and selected a goalie with pick 20 . Signed goalie backstrom to fa contract and signed del zotto away from rangers and gave up a 1st and third. Signed alfredson and gagne and traded l Schenn to Chicago for bolland. So far I'm 4-1 simmed through the next season after going 20-40 roughly last year and finishing last.

Ugh ...nobody can say lockout is even a possibility at this point. The union has not given its response yet on what the players want. Fehr is a 50/50 on players and owners share of revenue. It will be right around that in the new cba. Look for the players to come in at 55 percent on their counter offer. If the NHL locks the players out on a few percentage points or a year of ufa or elc. They should fire bettman. Everybody is making money and the small market teams cannot survive without extreme revenue sharing from the bigger teams which puts a drag on them. Time to eliminate these teams and do a draft for teams to get the assets off these closing teams. These small teams cannot survive , period. With any cba they are a drag.
