Forwards have quicker impacts for sure and defensemen take longer to develop but we are seeing York growing into a #1 right before our eyes he keeps getting better and better and he just turned 23 in January so I am totally happy with it because I know they added Brink out of thar too could is still developing. So to me it is easier to find a Caulfield and harder to find a York. So I am happy with the pick. I think is going to play a vital role in eventually bringing a Cup to Philly in the next 5 years I would feel that way about a small winger. Some will say this is biased and hey maybe it is that is fine doesn't change how I feel.

The match up is basically chose your poison for the Flyers. With their lack of a PP they only chance is hell they have vs any of those teams is for Ersson/Fedotov to stand on their heads and hold them in a series. Only chance because they lack scoring power as we just seen vs Montreal.

Well I know generally speaking I am hoping Risto has maybe played his last game as a Flyers. There was rumors about them maybe trying to move him in the offseason weather that is thru the draft or afterwards. Or they pick up salary to move him out I know Danny will do what is best for the team moving forward. And worst case they keep him and try and rebuild his reputation to hard to say at this point. We'll have to wait.

Perfect example Torts couldn't even face the media after his headuptheass playcalling and sent Shaw out to answer for it. He just gets it and i feel like he is a great teacher and the players respond well to his coaching my guy for the next head coaching position with the Flyers! And as i stated somewhere around here the rumors are Torts wants to be promoted and i expect it to take place this offseason for the main reason is to hold onto Shaw otherwise he'll be hired away.

I am saying that mostly because of what I have seen him do with these defensemen. He has turned York into the #1 Dman on this squad and made Risto look serviceable which I thought would have never been possible. Plus Ginning and Attard transition into a very good 2nd pair is beyond impressive. I just think he can transform this whole team if giving the reins on his own. I can't wait till Drysdale gets back and he can get back to molding him into the top D man I hope he can be or at least a #2.

Because Torts wants to be in management and I shared this the other day in a clip and you even liked it. He wanted to be in management with the Blue Jackets and Jarmo wouldn't allow it.
