It's almost unbelievable to fathom, but the "overrated" Canadians completely blew out the very team that dispatched the Americans...and somehow, find themselves in the Gold Medal game .....again.
It must be a Christmas Miracle?!?! Or, has the earth left its' axis???
-
LOL ... Had this been the other way around...this place would have blown up...maybe with a full extra page in the GDT
Geaux Canada...beat the Commies tomorrow!

Habs draft pick Cole Caufield

I actually like Drouin a lot as well. And yes the guys you are familiar with *should* be enough (adding Gally back in there) to sneak in as the 7-8th seed I think anyway....but sneaking in doesn't cut it.
PS...I'm not a big Ning Dynasty guy as long as we are being honest, but I loved Marty St. Louis - going back to his days with the Catamounts, and I felt he should have won the Hobey Baker when they gave it instead to Bowling Green's Brian Holzinger. And I always felt that Vinny would have looked great in Bleu, Blanc et Rouge (although those who said he'd be the next Beliveau pissed me off. He was my all time hockey hero...there will never be a next Beliveau)

Oh for sure....I was a huge Scandella guy going back to the world juniors...but as always, we have zero goal scorers
Carey can't win em all 1-0
Ouch....that Drouin comment

I loved Kovalchuk

Clearly Gally's departure with the concussion protocol is the biggest of the losses to injury we currently needed to cover. But every team has injuries.
Nah, if we sneak into the playoffs I'd be surprised. I want to know why MB said "no more rentals" ... Then pulls these deals.
We have one commodity and that's Carey, and even his best years are behind him. It's a mess to be sure.

That's twice today you've misunderstood something I wrote. But you are on a roll....I can take it. Knock yourself out.

Yes, that's exactly my point to those who say it will be the Avs. They have an outdoor game this year.... So most likely would not play in one next year

Agree, wish to see a Colorado, for just to change the team to a better one. As well as Chicago team has been too many times already.
Again, for those not paying attention...the Avs are hosting a Stadium Series outdoor game this year.
Does anyone in here actually pay attention to NHL puck other than what happens other than at 7th and Kellogg?
-
Wow ... The "entire 20 years?!" Impressive
-
20 years? That's adorable
-
But they played Chicago in the Stadium Series tilt...I doubt it will be them.
The Wilds have zero stars and zero rivalries - the opponent is going to have to bring the star power or this will set a record for lowest viewership of any sporting event in history.
Hey! Peradventure they *should* try for that record...schedule Seattle

Update for those not paying attention:
Quarterfinal results of 2 Jan., 2020:
Overrated Canadians move on to the semis.
Overmatched Yanks heading home

All I see are $$$
I'll be stationed either on the Kieran's corner or O'Donovn's corner!
After selling I *may* go in even....if the Habs are the opponent.
Hopefully the lameass P.A. Guy won't break the Twins sound system with that high-schoolish "Scorrrringggggg for Minnnnnesssssssota!"

For those who missed it:
Overrated Team Canada - 6
Clearly overmatched Yanks - 4

Stats are for losers.. always have been, are now, and always will be.
Anyway...anyone else watch the Yanks beat the Commies today? Very impressive

Will be interesting to see how critical Taylor Hall is with his new team...
I watched his lid-lifter with them and his hustle and hard work got them the game winner vs the Sharks - that one was all on him.
Personally pissed that Bergevin dropped the ball on him. Had the space and apparently were in the hunt...but came up empty. Again.

on TV I've seen a few Philly Jerseys and they almost seem a little more prevalent/noticeable than other teams who come to play.
Cool
I actually think it's really cool when opposing fans travel to support Their team

I don't mind the earlier end to the game...my gripe is that I get done with work at 5:30, so I have to quickly pick something up for us (I didn't feel like cooking tonight) and scarf it down before it starts.
Clearly, they should have consulted you
Jokes.
Good sales tonight....not sure if philly fans are here or if locals are encouraged by recent games

Man, what a great Gold Medal game! The "overrated" Canadians avenge the earlier inexplicable defeat, and win gold.
As always, great IIHF World Junior Tourney
