Sure but percentage from what data you'll going to pull to compare them too??

    https://hockeyanswered.com/what-percentage-of-nhl-draft-picks-make-it-to-the-nhl/

I haven't crunched the numbers, but this says 94% of 1st round picks and 70% of second round picks manage to play at least 1 game.  That's higher than I thought, and someone else can do the actual math.

Or you could just give a year or two and see where they are all at.

I'm not the one that penciled them in as our #1, #2, and #3 defensemen.

Not if you draft them but i think the Flyer could very well have them...by drafting them.

My opinion remember is i think they have their top 3 right now.

    York Bonk and Andrea.

Would could be the icing on the cake is if Grans can transforms into the stabilizing force for Andrea on the 2nd pair.

To give them aa top pair of the future.

    York/Bonk

    Andrea/Grans

At this point i am not very familiar with Grans game to call it besides what i have watched and read from scouts.

But it no doubt he has the potential to be a 4 D man. But you know what they say about potential.

Just on percentages, I assume at least one of those four, if not two, never play significant minutes in the NHL.

    You’re joking right?

Just kidding I know what you mean you’re right they will be hard to watch at times, probably most of the time. Just don’t forget this is what we wanted, younger, faster, smarter players. No more JVFKNGR, no more FkngHayes NO MORE FLETCHER. Hopefully Ristolainen’s last season in the O&B.

Flyers’ fans have been waiting for an honest rebuild for god knows how many years and now finally it’s here. Hallelujah! This season will be one of the most exciting, interesting most important seasons in Flyers’ history. Seriously.

I know some are punching holes in it, go ahead if that makes you* happy. If you believe because they didn’t trade TK or Hart that means they’re not serious or it’s not a legit rebuild….you’re wrong. They’re serious. Personally I haven’t felt this good about the Flyers in years.

    *not you - You

This is the best I've felt about the direction of the team in years too.  This is a low bar.

I think this season is going to be interesting, but it's not going to be good.  That's not how rebuilds work.  You don't turn it around in one year by trading 2-3 players - that is how the old Flyers thought.

I suspect Briere will take a wait and see approach to this season.  If the team is severely undermanned (I don't see any way they aren't), I think they will try to move TK and/or Hart at the deadline.  This would be smart, bolster the farm system, and put the franchise on a timeline that makes sense.

If this team is a contender in 5 years, it will mostly be because Gauthier and Michkov (and anyone else they draft this year or next) are stars. I still think the core of this team when it is good is mostly not yet on the current team.  It won't be TK and Hart leading the way then (certainly not from a statistical standpoint).

I think the take where he is not worth the deal is hogwash. Especially without the ability to see into the future.

Well, not saying I can see the future, but I wanted to trade him in the offseason or at the deadline the year before he was going to be UFA instead of resigning him.  I said so, many times.  It sure would be nice now to have an extra 1st, 3rd, and prospect in the pipeline.

The idea that Couts will make it to the end of his contract without being bought out or traded with salary retention is crazy.

After finally halting his goalless drought — which reached 16 games — in Las Vegas on Dec. 9, Laughton established himself as one of the Flyers’ most effective forwards. Over the next 20 games, Laughton scored nine goals and 10 assists, nearly scoring at a point-per-game pace. As the Flyers crawled their way back into the outskirts of playoff contention, Laughton was leading the way.

Someone should have caused Scott to have an accident.

Just kidding, but if anyone is offering even in the same universe as what has been reported, they should sell high.

The Flyers Penguins playoff series of 2012 was legitimately one of the best playoff series I can recall in the past decade.

It was more than a decade ago now and for the Flyers' there hasn't been much to compare it to.  It was exciting not because the hockey was good, but because the goal tending (on both sides) was terrible.  Next you'll be talking about "the shift".  Yawn.

Since that point in time they've gotten away from broad street bullies and not only been awful but been awful to watch.

Sorry, bread and circuses don't do it for me.

Hextall allegedly ignored all scouts/executives (per Clarke) and chose Patrick over Makar or Heiskanen, etc.

You'll forgive me if I don't believe the word of Clarke, after the fact, that he would have chosen a defenseman over the big Western Canadian Center.

He also wanted to end the "broad street bullies" identity which has left the team without identity or culture or anything.   And that's still a problem for this team to this day, years or even a decade later.

Hextall was right to want to end it.  That "identity" is what has been holding back the team for the last 20 years.  The idea that the Flyers reload instead of rebuild.  Vengeance Now.  Just absolute marketing with nothing behind it.  When the Tampa Bay Lightning have more Cups in their short history than you do, maybe it's time to reexamine that identity and get a new one.

They are setting the stage. It seems like adding to that cap space is very easy to do. This team starts competing the right way and that pot of money sits there, waiting for that big name UFA(s) when the time is right

The time won't be right for another two years, if then.  Gauthier and Michkov should both be on the team and contributing before they start thinking about spending big.
