  1. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS ADOPTING THIS LOGO? https://www.logolynx.com/topic/new+blackhawks http://maplesofthawks.com/index.php http://cdn.goalline.ca/banners/1227.png?1359476582
  2. Redskins, Blackhawks, not the same thing!
  3. Thornton shoots the puck and doesn't even clear it out of Florida's zone. Tampa scores. The announcer sounds ...
  4. It's starting to look like the Tampa Bay Lightning is going to three-peat. The first NHL three-peat since the New York Islanders in 1982, 40 years ago.
  5. Stanley Cup Championships Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin 2009 - Pittsburgh Penguins 2016 - Pittsburgh Penguins 2017 - Pittsburgh Penguins Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews 2010 - Chicago Blackhawks 2013 - Chicago Blackhawks 2015 - Chicago Blackhawks Seven years between the first and second Crosby-Malkin Stanley Cup Championships, and one year between the second and third. Three years between the first and second Kane and Toews Stanley Cup Championships, and two years between the second and third. I'll get a little bit more in depth when I have the time. I voted for Kane and Toews. I found their skating abilities, their speed, and their scoring to be a lot more exciting than Crosby-Malkin, plus the fact that the Chicago franchise had not won the Cup since 1961, when they won it in 2010, and then again in 2013 and 2015. I'm going to go and watch both, the Blackhawk, and the Penguins, Stanley Cup clinching games again to check for a few things. Also, it looks like Stamkos-Hedman and the Tampa Bay Lightning are going to become the first NHL team to three-peat since the 1982 New York Islanders, 40 years ago.
  6. The best duo regardless of whether or not they put up the most points together. The reason I chose the combos I did is because that's how the media always refers to them. It's always Crosby-Malkin, Kane and Toews, and so on.
  7. This is from 6 years ago. Not up-to-date. Henrik Sedin assisted on 246 Daniel Sedin goals. Henrik Sedin - 246 Evgeni Malkin - 109
  8. 109 Evgeni Malkin assists on Sidney Crosby goals as of Crosby's 500th goal. I will have to find if any others occurred after. Evgeni Malkin congratulates himself for assisting on Sidney Crosby’s 500th goal Malkin’s personality certainly hasn’t faded over the years. https://www.pensburgh.com/2022/2/17/22938142/malkin-instagram-comment-letang-crosby-500-goals

  11. I will have to check how many times each duo assisted on each others goals.
  12. I want Terry Murray to come out of retirement to coach the Flyers and win the Stanley Cup! He's one game shy of 500 wins! Want butts back in seats? This Flyers coaching candidate would elicit real buzz https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/flyers/candidates-be-flyers-coach-rick-tocchet

  16. MY PREDICTIONS FOR THE 2022 HOCKEY HALL OF FAME Trying to predict the 5 player category inductees, and the 2 builder category inductees for the Hockey Hall of Fame each year isn't very easy. This year's newly eligible players include three former Vancouver Canucks players - Daniel Sedin, Henrik Sedin, and Roberto Luongo. Inducting three players from the same team in the same year has happened before in the past, but this year it's highly unlikely. When it comes to Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin, the hockey media is fascinated by the idea of twins getting inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in the same year, in their first year of eligibility, but how much of that fascination is shared by the nominating and voting committee of the Hockey Hall of Fame? Will it actually happen? Will Jennifer Botterill or Caroline Ouellette be inducted in the Women's category? Will there be an international player inducted? Boris Mikhailov? What will the 2022 Hockey Hall of Fame induction ceremony look like? Will it be made up of only recently retired players? Will it be made up of only players who have been waiting for over ten or twenty years for induction? Will it be a mixed bag? Will the recent deaths of John Muckler, Walter Gretzky, Mike Bossy, and Guy Lafleur play a factor in the Selection Committee's decision on who the 2022 Hockey Hall of Fame inductees will be? BUILDER CATEGORY John Muckler won the Stanley Cup 4 times as the assistant coach of the Edmonton Oilers between 1984 and 1988, and then he won a 5th Stanley Cup in 1990 as the Edmonton Oilers head coach. There are currently 8 members of the 1980s Edmonton Oilers dynasty who are in the Hockey Hall of Fame, which includes head coach Glen Sather (1997), Wayne Gretzky (1999), Jari Kurri (2001), Grant Fuhr (2003), Paul Coffey (2004), Mark Messier (2007), Glenn Anderson (2008), and Kevin Lowe (2020). John Muckler's death could also get one of the six remaining players from the 1980s Edmonton Oilers dynasty, who are highly qualified, to finally be inducted in the player category. Those players are Andy Moog, Charlie Huddy, Esa Tikkanen, Craig MacTavish, Kent Nilsson, and Adam Graves. Walter Gretzky was the quintessential hockey father. The most famous father of an athlete ever, by far. Walter Gretzky was the Joseph Jackson of hockey fathers, but with a lot more class. Like Joseph Jackson, Walter Gretzky raised a child prodigy who was in the public eye from a very young age. In the 80s and 90s, Wayne Gretzky was the Michael Jackson of hockey. PLAYER CATEGORY There are currently 7 members of the 1980s New York Islanders Stanley Cup dynasty in the Hockey Hall of Fame - general manager Bill Torrey (1995), head coach Al Arbour (1996), Mike Bossy (1991), Denis Potvin (1991), Billy Smith (1993), Bryan Trottier (1997), and Clark Gilles (2002). The recent death of Mike Bossy could get one of the four remaining players from the 1980s New York Islanders dynasty, who are highly qualified, to finally be inducted. Those players are Butch Goring, John Tonelli, Bob Nystrom, and Brent Sutter. The most qualified is Butch Goring, who along with his 4 Stanley Cup rings, also won the Bill Masterton Trophy, the Lady Byng Trophy, and the Conn Smythe Trophy. Brent Sutter also has 3 Canada Cup World Titles. Guy Lafleur played 17 seasons in the NHL, mostly for the Montreal Canadiens, and won 5 Stanley Cup championships. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988. His recent death could get his former Montreal Canadiens teammate and 4-time Stanley Cup champion Doug Jarvis finally inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Doug Jarvis won the Frank J. Selke Trophy in 1984, and the Bill Masterton Trophy in 1987. Doug Jarvis held the record as the NHL's Iron Man for 36 years, playing 964 consecutive games without injury, from October 8, 1975 to October 10, 1987. His record was recently broken during the 2021-2022 NHL season by Keith Yandle and Phil Kessel, putting him back in the spotlight just before the passing of Guy Lafleur. Doug Jarvis also won 2 more Stanley Cups as an assistant coach for the Dallas Stars in 1999, and the Boston Bruins in 2011, bringing his combined player/assistant coach total to 6. Other possibilities for induction in 2022 include the five other Montreal Canadiens players with 5+ Stanley Cup championships, who pre-date Guy Lafleur. Those players are Claude Provost (9), Jean-Guy Talbot (7), Larry Hillman (6), Ralph Backstrom (6), J.C. Tremblay (5).
