No Crosby... No win for Pittsburgh tonight. I see the Rangers bearing down on Malkin and Shesterkin stepping up to bring this series back to New York for game 7. If Crosby is unable to go in game 7, I don't see a much better outcome for Pittsburgh in game 7 either. It is horrible how losing one player can turn a series completely around, but when that player is the caliber of a Sidney Crosby that will happen.

See ya on Saturday in Toronto.

Why not some OT just to test my nerves a little more.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs is the best playoff system in all of sports.

That was so quick. Spezza and the Captain. Going crazy!!!! 1 period to go. Definitely not over yet, but if they keep the intensity up they can do it.

Matthews gets one back.
2-1 Bolts

I have to admit that was a hell of a goal by Cirelli.
2-0 Bolts

Mistake by Kerfoot and turnover leads to Lightning goal.
1-0 Bolts

Binnington will be back in the Blues net for game 6 and could he be ready to take them on another playoff run?
The Wild has certainly backed themselves into a corner in this series having to win this match up in St. Louis and that is going to be one tough task.

I am hoping for a quick start from the Leafs and for them to put the puck on the net. Test Vasileveskiy as much as possible. Keep moving and make crisp passes.

That what I'm thinking too
I think that just might slow down a little of the offense that the Avalanche has. I am not sure they will be able to shut them down, but they might be able to slow them down enough to make it a very close series and possible pull it out.

Also the Flames play a physical type game which if it does come down to them playing against the Avalanche that could give them some trouble.

It would be great for the Capitals to get Tom Wilson back in the next game. He not only adds that physical aspect to the team which could have really helped the team possibly hold these leads the past two games. He also adds more offense to the Capitals game.

Missed opportunities is the name of what this series is all about for the Capitals. Unfortunately, I don't see any way that they win the next two games against the Panthers to win this series.

Caps so close to tying it a few times this past minute. Arrrrgh
I thought Carlson had it earlier.

Alright…G6 Friday night. Glad to see they didn’t fold it up after going down 2. Can’t exactly call it a convincing win but the Rangers finally brought some fightback to their game.
I hope Crosby is okay to go Friday he took a hard hit but he’s got a hard head he should be fine.
Crosby leaving the game was huge for Pittsburgh and I hope his injury whatever it is isn't too bad . If he is out for the next game or an extended period of time that could change a lot in the next two games.

The Panthers have tied this game up and the crowd is going nuts. The Capitals need to do something to quiet this storm down right now it they could find them down going into the 3rd period.

I probably will be watching at home tomorrow, but if there is a game 7 I may got out to watch the game with friends.
Covid can weigh on a person even way after recovery. Who knows???

The Panthers are in real trouble. This game is the crucial game for the Capitals to win and head back to Washington with the series for them to take.

That seems to have gotten the crowd back into the game.

If the Penguins net the next goal that will be it for the Rangers.

Exactly. After that locker room scene I wondered how they’d fire themselves up. They have a great kill early but still don’t get their first SOG till like 8 mins in. I was expecting a much more competitive series now I won’t be surprised if it’s over tonight. What really surprises me is the Rangers are on home ice and they are playing with no intensity at all. I don't know what they are waiting for. Adam Fox seems no where to be found on the ice.

Yeah, if he’s not yet ready then rest him. Caps must win game 6 inside the beltway, and win one in Broward County. No matter whether it be game 5 or 7.
But I do see, generally, how people want to see Tom Wilson play, given his enormous popularity amongst fans league-wide.
You are correct , but I think the Capitals need to win tonight and then take the series in game 6 in Washington. I don't think they stand much of a chance in Florida in game 7.
Good start in game 5.

1-0 Capitals

I think Dallas and their defense will continue to keep them alive tonight, but the key word there is tonight. I don't see the Stars going back to Calgary in game 7 and winning two in a row.
