  1. Why isn't Ovechkin out there the entire time the net is empty, or close to it? It'll be interesting to hear Carbury's answer, if he's asked.
  2. If there was any way they could keep Matthews, I'd do it, if I were them. He is uniquely skilled and has shown me, a better competitiveness and more leadership on both ends of the ice. They should look to try and trade Marner or Nylander. They haven't been effective enough, for the money they make, in the playoffs. One of the problems they have, is one that the Flyers traditionally do. Overpaying players, and making them unmovable.
  3. The hockey gods tend to greatly dislike those brainfarts, like the one Sissons committed. This series might end in the Canucks favor, in five, now.
  4. Dallas was all over Vegas in that first period. 18-8 shot advantage, but only one goal to show for it. By far, the Stars best period of the series. Their forwards are really pressuring the Vegas defense, and making them work harder than they have.
  5. Really like Dallas's start tonight. They're playing with more energy.. and outskating Vegas, though they haven't gotten one past Thompson, as of yet.
  6. I'm not much of a fan of Nylander. All the talent in the world and takes monumentally dumb penalty in the offensive zone. A momentum KILLER. The Leafs had the Bruins against the ropes and had a great chance to get within one, but Nylander with a huge brain fart ..throwing DeBrusk down to the ice. It's not rugby or football, Willie.
  7. Toronto...with all their flash and skill, still lack composure and discipline every single time in the playoffs. They aren't mentally tough, either. This year is no exception, and all I need to see to know who's dominated this series (though, yes, I've watched every game), is Boston is 6 for 12 on the power play. They STILL aren't built for playoff hockey. The Bruins are built for it, but they're going to run into their kryptonite, in the next round. Toronto might not be as soft with the additions of Reaves, and a few others, but they're too mentally fragile and Boston has a stronghold over the Leafs collective minds.
  8. The Lightning are playing their best game of the series, and playing with a lot of tenacity.
  9. Go Stars! Should it be a (and dear God, I hope it isn't) Rangers-Golden Knights finals, I'm rooting for the Rags. I'll barely watch any of the games, but I'll root for them. I literally detest the Golden Knights.
  10. Trade it to Ottawa, for Brady Tkachuk.
  11. I thought the Flyers had a chance to win the first pick, too, until last night when I found and read this article. https://thehockeynews.com/news/nhl-draft-lottery-day-set-what-are-the-odds#:~:text=A team participating in the, receives the first overall pick. They can only draft as high, as the #2 pick.
  12. See ya, Vorachoke. I have a barf bag ready, for the day he joins the Flyers Hall Of Fame. I hate the Flyers front office, for having grossly overpaid him.
  13. Very good hockey game. I still think this series goes 6 or 7. The Caps made a nice push at the end, to try and tie it.
  14. Great chances for both teams, and both goalies have come up huge. Vas made a great save on Tkachuk, almost as tremendous as Bobrovsky's,
  15. Holy crap...what a save by Bobrovsky on Dumba. Back turned as Dumba tried to flip it into what he thought was an empty net, and Bob got across and got his glove on it..somehow to keep it out. That's the best save I've seen this season.
  16. The Leaves are playing with a lot more grit and salty syrup tonight. I'll give them that.
  17. If a team offers a first round pick for Laughton, (especially if it's a top 15 pick), I'd take the deal and run.. if I'm Briere. I don't care if this isn't a particularly deep draft.
  18. I think it still goes 6, but my original pick of Ranjerks in 7, is very likely inaccurate.
