We Flyers fan are happy Bryz is gone, my ideal replacement would've been Bernier but we didin't get him. Emery is good goalie so anyone over Bryz is good. I do have questions on Emery, he hasn't been a starter for a full season since coming back from the KHL a few years ago. And with his repaired hip, I'm not sure if he can play the whole year. But I see him here as a backup incase Mason falters so no biggie.

I can see Vinny score 30 goals but he needs to play with G alot.

I've been reading his tweets since draft day, he seems like a good guy. Hasn't tweeted anything out of ordinary but the all in since. And knowing the Flyers got Vinny, they might think their window to the Cup is a couple years .

@jammer2 I totally agree with everything you said but unfortunately that is how it's gonna be in this new era. It will be all base on potential, either you are underpaid or overpaid. I see a bunch of overpaid hockey players in the years to come, the agents have learned how to get the most for their client and are smart in locking up these long term big money deals. Just look at the 3 other sport. Gone are the days that players had loyalty to the team but can you fault them? Remember LeClaire was way underpaid on his contract for putting up 50+ goals a year, Snider didn't tear up his contract to make it fair. I fault the GMs more then agents on this, the GMs shouldn't be handing out long term contracts in the first place, trying to circumvent the cap. Once one does you think other agents wouldn't want the same for his clients? The sad thing is, I see the NHL is gonna be just like the NBA in a few short years. You will have a bunch of bums sitting on the bench collecting their paycheck.

If they sign him, I'm done being a Flyers fan.

Honestly, I would love to see Homer try and move Hartnell to get out of his 6 year contract. I would then give Read his salary for 4 years. I like Hartnell but seems like he's on a decline to me. Read can take his spot on the 2nd line, play on the PP and PK. Read just seems more valuable to me plus we get out of another NMC contract.

@jammer2 I agree with you but you now Homer, if he has a hard one for someone he gives away more then he has to. The GM of other teams will ask for Read and Homer will cave in.

That's how it is now in the NHL. He is after all our best player. The 8 years cover 6 or 7 of his UFA years, we can haggle over money and years but is it worth pissing off your best player? I wouldn't. Look at what NJ did with Parise and they lost him for nothing. I know it might be different but I wouldn't take that chance.

I would like to see him here til the deadline but if Homer is getting Kane/Ryan as rumored he is in talks, I can see Read being part of a package.

We all do but NOT gonna happen with Snider hiring his puppets to run the team. Every year they will try to sign or trade for the biggest name on the market. It's about making money not winning Cups.

@hf101 I like him also, he's good a faceoffs but have to wonder that Laughton will not be here? I hope Homer knows what he's doing instead of handing contracts out left and right. He always put himself in a corner with the 50 contract thing.

They might sign Briere for the playoffs but they are still a team of midgets. Other teams can just knock them off the pucks easily, Boston will destroy them physically. Briere was great here beside last season, he gave us great memories and leadership but his time here is done. Thank you and gl on your new endeavor Danny.
