Well thanks to Comie and the shutout of the Islanders on Saturday, tonights game vs Montreal is big. the Sabres still have a pulse. Pitdburgh and Islanders can be caught if we can win. I expect a tough game though. Montreal is playing far better now

Where do they find these goalies/ They got another shutout the other night. I know its too late, but the future again looks bright in St Louis. The Blues have really turned things quickly. How I have no idea.

Id like to. But Anderson pulled against one of the worst offensive teams in the league. How the hell does that old man give up 7 to Preds? All 3 of these goalies are crap. Luukenen is the best in game situation but is the worst shootout goalie I have ever seen along with that other guy, Lehner. Let Levi go in and work through it. At least we know he has the talent unlike these other 3. Adams really sealed our fate before the season started by having no plan in goal. I blame him. Not Granato. I feel bad for Granato. He says ? we will get through this and I have been in worst situations and gotten through". Well he has to say that. I wonder if he has lost a few in the locker room? And Thompson finally scored last night. Taking Jost out before the fiasco in Philly was a huge mistake by Granato. Nobody has shown more heart, and you just do not pull a guy so Olofsson can come out of a slump. I am sick of Olofsson and his one dimensional style of play Skinner can give us that at a higher level. Thompson and Tuch must be kept together. Quinn and Paterka I feel the same. At least keep them in the lineup. Two good youngsters. Power is an offensive minded defensman. He has some learning to do on D but he has a ton of talent. And they were talking about Samuelson. They said when he plays they are just better on goals against. He is probably the only one along with Dahlin that has a clue how to play defense. He is a keeper. So I throw Levi to the wolves. Not that many games left Last night's loss sealed our fate. No playoffs.

I was hoping he’d play today. But the immigration process they say will delay him taking the ice. We need to roll out the red carpet for him and pull the rug out on the other 3 loafers that have been getting paid for being useless. Get rid of the rubbish!

Well, if Granato has enough sense to leave Luukenen on the bench or in Rochester, I like our chances if its Anderson. It would keep us alive. i expect Washington and Pittsburgh to implode on their own. The Islanders maybe not. The Flyers? I know Rasmus Ristolainen will be suited up. Probably out to get us. I would like nothing more than to beat them because I am no fan of Tortorella. He was of course the Americans coach way back and that is how he got his shot. He never coached the Sabres because Lindy Ruff was the coach, and a pretty good one. Maybe now some will realize that after the job he has done in NJ. I do think Granato has done a good job with what he has. No goalie. But the team is not bad. The youngest in the NHL, and I believe has promise behind Thompson, Tuch, Quinn, Paterka and Cozens who I also think will be a leader on this team. I wonder what Danny Briere will make of all of this? He has his heart in both cities. He chimed in on Ryan Millers special night. So Danny will always be part of Sabres lore. He was one of those guys that broke out in the year of the Presidentes trophy along side of Roy, Pommenvillel and Vanek. Good days like that are just around the corner for this young team. He’s had enough time! He stinks!! He is so uncoordinated. We can’t babysit him any more. I’ve seen enough of him and Comrie. Luukenen can win in regulation. Can’t stop a beach ball in a shootout. Anderson is the only guy I want in there in Philly tomorrow. The Sabres can score, and Dahlin and Power will be great for years. The first line, Thompson, Tuch and Skinner is great. Cozens is great too and can be used with them on power plays. Quinn and Paterka I love also. Need another guy like Lebushkin who can play D. It’s going to be disappointing if we can’t bounce the Islanders or the crappy old Penguins .

Luukenen is a flopping fish that needs to be thrown back into the Finnish Lake he swam out of. Worst SO goalie ever. Worse than Lehner. Uncoordinated and I have not seen him stop one shot in the two SO games I have seen him in. He sucks. Comrie sucks. Anderson is not bad, in fact pretty good, but likely retires? Not sure. But Anderson is the only one Id keep as a backup if he wants to play another year. Get rid of the rest. Play Anderson the rest of the way unless a back to back, then Luukenen is the lesser of two evils. Can win you a game in regulation. No chance in shootout. Or talk Miller out of retirement. Last night was good. The Islanders and Pittsburgh lost. I actually took Montreal last night as they have always given Pittsburgh fits at home. The Islanders were beaten in LA by that Kings team that could be a big player in the West? So if the Sabres can take advantage and take down the Caps tonight they are right in the hunt. The Capitals were blown out by the Rangers in NY

Well this Halibut comment was no doubt a shot at me from the past. No where can I find this rare visit by Podein that you quoted. Well at least he did not pick on my old car, the lumina. Just so you know Podein, if you happen to see this, I now drive a 2022 Equinox. Yes, still a Chevy, but pissed that no CD player in it. My 2013 Equinox was totaled by a young 22 year old driver that hammered me on the railroad tracks on her cell phone no doubt. To hours in the ambulance with my heart rate to the roof. Both vehicles towed and when I got out never saw the girl again. The insurance Co took care of me, as we both had the same company and the girl never called this in to her agent! I had to put much money down on the brand new vehicle, as you likely have the same problem down there, very limited supply on the lots these days. I do not buy HALIBUT these days as it cost more than Lobster. Go see for yourself. Two steaks are $20. Small ones. I saw a guy that had come back from Alaska at an airport, Newark I believe, and he had paid a handsome fee to have a halibut he caught himself in Alaska transported back. Not sure if it was to sell or eat or both? Good stuff, but its a mild fish and very pricey. Its a big fish that can actually kill you if not handled correctly. Sorry to ambush you TFG. Well Briere is on temporarily? Not much to do really now is there? Trade deadline over. Will he be there after season to make any real decisions like the draft? Im sure he will have many supporting him in what is the correct decision? In picking players. FA is likely more difficult. But first, there is the lottery. Last time I saw Danny he was on a video during Ryan Millers banner night. It was good of him to chime in.

What a joke. Worst game of year at worst time. So many valiant efforts in some great wins including the one in Boston. But the 10 goals given up by Comrie, well, I NEVER want to see him again. I would expect Anderson or Luukenen vs the Rangers today. Just who we needed to see next.

Colorado, Vegas or maybe the Kings? The Kings are really the enigma in all of this. They could be the most overlooked and dangerous team. How the hell did they get back on track this fast? I know they are in a far bigger market than our teams and that helps teams like them and the Rangers. Can spend spend and spend. But even if the Kings get there, and its iffy at best, I take Boston over anyone until they are beaten. To me their biggest fear would come from maybe the Rangers, who my reeling Sabres face today, and the Leafs who have the firepower and also now are playing well on defense. Carolina also must be respected very much. I hate the SOB's an hope they crash. I dont care if Boston or Rangers or Leafs win. All original six. And NO, I do not consider Tampa a threat any more. Even my young Sabres beat them last two. And they were all in to beat us in both of those games. Maybe I have overlooked Dallas? We will see. But the Sabres lopsided loss the other night to me was a fluke and Comrie. We beat them in Dallas.
