Very good 20 minutes for the home team.

Period 2 should be interesting.
According to the numbers, the Lightning are a top 3 team in stinginess in the 2nd period, however, the Wild are a top 5 team in scoring goals in the 2nd.
Something's gotta give.

Meanwhile, the Wild are middle of the pack in goals given up in the second frame, while the Lightning are middle of the pack in goals scored in that same span.

I didn't see the TB goal but given how Talbot has played the last few games, A 'softie' isn't that bad once in a while.
If 1 softie ruins a game, Then we're not as good as we think.

yep i cringe when i see a shot from circles/high slot

Klingberg would fit nicely there.

I've always felt Klingberg's skillset has been stifled by the defensive coaching style in Dallas.
Before Dallas adopted that, he put up very good numbers.

With the Canes' more open style of offense, I agree, he would fit in nicely, and maybe see a revival of his offensive numbers.
Worked for Hamilton when he was with the Canes, and even problem child Tony DeAngelo has benefitted from that as well.

I liked 1st period too. 2:1 after 1. And our 14 shots vs their 12 during that period. Greenway-EEK-Foligno line played solid mainly in their zone. I liked also Kulikov's individual play of controlling the puck. Kaprizov had a couple beautiful chances in front of their net.

DeAngelo looked very good today on the first period against WSH. Sees the ice, passes crisply, skates well.

Of all the new players, I've found his play much better than expected. So far-So good.

Tampa is one of the best team in the league. Always enjoy watching their creativity during the game.
