The ONLY positive in this game is we actually scored 3 on Markstrom.
Hope it's a better game for you all on Tuesday. :)

3 on Markstrom is a tremendous success.

I hope so too to see a better game on Tuesday.

Hope also Foligno will start producing. After 2 games of suspension he became unnoticeable. I am still willing to see Rossi here, who has an impressive stats in Iowa. In 40  played games he collected 40 points (15 goals; 25 assists; +/- +8). We really need an additional booster for this team.

The team has two glaring deficiencies. It leaves opponents uncovered, thus defense leaks and as a consequence we don't know if our goalies are good enough. The worse problem is lack of aggression. Kaprizov was challenged all through the game, as it should be. He held out well enough. But none of our players were challenging the best Flames players in similar fashion. Hockey is still also about grinding and playing a little bit mean. Our third and fourth line guys are mostly passive in challenging the other team in the good old Canadian fashion, and even the ones like Foligno don't have enough of that evil streak in them. We need more Tom Wilson throughout the line-up to be able to have a run in the playoffs.

Just the lack of an answer to Calgary's toughness concerned me. Flames were having their way with us whenever they wanted. But the instant the Flames player grabbed Spurgeon around the face/head with his arm. Nobody stood up for him there. 🧐
Spurgeon didn't do anything to Markstrom and even the other players weren't reacting until the 1 player does an aggression move way after the whistle. He might as well as lifted his leg and pee on Spurgeon as if marking his territory.
That's what it felt like most the night.
