I remember years ago, someone said that there were three schools of goaltending (before being a 'hybrid' was fashionable)...
Stand up style...Butterfly style...and Hasek style.

That's sorta where MAF is. In Hasek style territory....just ad-libs as he goes, relying on pure athleticism.
When it works, it is spectacular...when it doesn't, he looks pretty ridiculous.
