Cheesesteak Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I remember reading somewhere that Luke Schenn works out with Shea Weber in the off-season and that Braydon finally joined them last year. Do you feel that this may give the Flyers any advantage at all that he would be willing to sign with the Flyers after this year, provided that the contracts offered by teams are relatively similar?I sure hope so, oh boy... Unless Minnesota is thinking the same thing... Quote
Jmdodgesrt4 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Never thought I would have to say this about the wild but.... They have no cap space. Lol Quote
Polaris922 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I dunno if Weber will make it to UFA... If Poile doesn't lock him up first I think he'll trade him rather than lose him so I don't think the Schenn relationship will matter. Quote
mojo1917 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 @Polaris922Even if Poile does trade him there is no guarantee weber signs with that team, he could wind up being a very expensive rental for a contender, and then sign somewhere else. 2 Quote
Polaris922 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 @mojo1917I think for someone to pay out what Poile will most likely want it would have to be somewhere Weber would like to be and would have the cap space to make him stay. Of course there are GM's that take crazy risks so who knows... But Weber seems the type to respect someone taking a chance on him. Just my judgement of his personality from interviews. Guess we'll all watch and see. 1 Quote
