hf101
Ten games into the season and the Kings are tied for last place with 8 points along with the expected bottom dwellers the Blue Jackets, Avalanche, and Flames. Can this slow start still be blamed on cup hangover.....?Maybe some of the blame for the slow start is due to Kopitar starting the season on the IR and then soon realized they would have to play the season without Matt Greene. But other teams are managing with crucial injuries....So what is it? Quick, has a 0.891 save% and a 2.70gaa.-- it is almost hard to believe we voted this guy forum MVP. :unsure:Dustin Penner has 0 points ….he’s also been seen more in the press box than the on the ice.Jeff Carter has 4 goals....up until the last game he had the expected 0 assists.....but hey he got one on Sunday.Mike Richards has a goal and 4 assists and is a -6 in 10 games, he is also less than 45% in FO wins.....wow, can’t say I miss him.Braydon Shenn has 7 points and if you add Simmonds 5 points... it isn’t too hard to figure which team got the better deal. And how about Drew Doughty who already had a big minus 10. So why is the team still strugging? One could say they are only 5 points out of a playoff spot, but then there still is 6 teams ahead of them. Polaris922
They struggled the same way last year... barely making the playoffs. They have a hell of a team on paper, and apparently in the playoffs as well, but struggle during the season just the same.
AndyS
Apparently not. They are now playing like the defending champions that they are.And the lockout probably helped them recover from the long playoff run.
hockeyRTTS
Kings are too good, they'll sneak in the playoffs
