I was listening to the NHL network last night and in their discussion of the Isles struggles they mentioned that Snow would try try to trade for a d-man before looking to fire Capuano.  

 

However, I'd think Laviolette would be a strong candidate for the job if Capuano becomes the next coach fired this season.

This.I know there are only 30 big league jobs and if you're offered one it's difficult to turn it down. But with this GM, this owner, this organization if I'm Lavy I'd strongly consider waiting for another opportunity.

Snow needs to go. He has picked Taveras, which was obvious, but has done little else right. Changing the coach will accomplish nothing.

I was wondering if the Isles had former coaches still on their payroll paying off their contracts? I am not so sure a new coach is the answer. However, on my wish list is Totorella as coach, of course he would have to accomplish everything in 2 years. anything past that and he would alianate all of the players (lol) and the news media.

Ya, being coach of the Isles doesn't exactly bolster your resume once you've already been an NHL coach. It can only add negativity.
