I was playing the other night and during warmups (yes, warmups) I took a clapper on our goalie and felt a pop on my right side and could barely breathe. Go to the Dr's and tore the cartilage on the bottom rib. Sneezing, breathing, farting all feel like I am getting stuck w/ a knife! LOL! Hockey injuries are not only for the young! Podein25 Posted April 17, 2014 Share Posted April 17, 2014 Other than a concussion, I think one of the most awful injuries for a hockey player these days is the dreaded high ankle sprain. It takes forever to heal, is easily be re-aggravated if you rush it and must be very frustrating to sit and watch it not heal because you cannot do a damn thing about it.
