notfondajane
Is this the first trip to Pittsburgh for McDavid? If memory serves me correctly, he was out of the Oiler lineup last time?!

B21
New blood versus the old guard. Hard to believe that Sid is the old guard in that statement.
JR Ewing
A hell of a thing... Pittsburgh changed the match-up to get the Crosby line away from the McDavid line. Good night for the boy.

From my seats it didn't look like Sullivan worried about matching up much at all. Not even from the start.
nossagog
Didn't see the game, but from what I've seen, Sullivan does not put a priority on matchups as much as getting all four lines rolling and in the flow of the game.
JR Ewing
That game could have gone a lot worse. The Oilers played the defending champs at the tail end of a long road trip, had the slight edge in dangerous chances, and then lost on a really unfortunate bounce. Giving up numerous 2 on 1's, then missing open nets themselves. Was a very roller coaster style game with the ups and downs.
