Despite some Wild fan's disdain for him. I've always felt the expectations for him when he was first brought to the Wild were unrealistic, and thus, fans expected him to be the next Cam Neely or something. Truth is, he has always been a solid centerman… At best a 2C during his peak youth, these days, best suited to a 3rd line defensive line role, with maybe a bit of time in top six when needed. He does make too much money for what he gives you, especially now, but that wasn't his fault.....more like the GM who gave him that contract to begin with.
