TropicalFruitGirl26
I don't like the way Anthony LaPanta phrased that: "Wild will try to hang onto the lead against the top team in the West" Should have been: "Wild will try to EXPAND the lead against the top team in the West" That little thing is all the difference between a good team and a mediocre one.
TropicalFruitGirl26
Nice work Zucc.....potentially save the Wild some head aches in their own zone. He worked hard to get that puck out of there....thought he might have even drawn a call.

TropicalFruitGirl26
Nice work for Soucy as well. No way Vegas' 4th line should have hemmed in the Wild in their own zone. Soucy broke that up, cleared, and allowed a change for his squad.

bbgarnett
sorry but were working Kaprizov way too much. He may be able to handle it but we shouldn't keep doing it.

IMO, of bigger concern is either Kaprizov needs to realize his teammates aren't quite his equal in speed, agility, and hockey IQ.... OR, the team will need to step their game up to at least learn to anticipate Kirill better. Guy is making some slick moves, drop passes, and NO ONE on the Wild seems to know he is going to do it! Lots of wasted opportunities.

Sincerely, I do not care about his age because I like his play. You know, I never viewed either Kyle Rau or Gerald Mayhew as any sort of answers long term for the team, but they DO remind me of the journeyman callups the Tampa Bay Lightning relied on some years back while they filled their roster with skill players: Guys who played hard every shift, were hungry enough to push even when they were overmatched, and like you said, provide a spark when the "highly paid NHL'ers" seem worn out. In that role, both Rau and Mayhew excel and the team could stand to play them a bit more.

EmptyShelf
Solid 1-0 win over Vegas. Kapo is CLEARLY the better goalie, and they seem to play better in front of him. No doubt about it, he NEEDS to start most (and biggest) games
