I'll tell you, you're totally selling this guy to Fletcher. It sounds like just about everything he covets in a hockey player.
Plus Gurianov is a well-known Minnesota surname. Check.

The Flyers would only find a way to break that too…..
Presumably Risto would put a puck through the TV while attempting to execute a simple 6 foot pass to someone in the other direction.

I do. I would trade ours for a 72' plasma TV.

The scariest part of this is what Chuckles and Homie think they could bring in with our 1st for the big playoff push.
This is correct.

Of course the Flyers will trade TK.
For a second round pick, which they will subsequently trade as part of a deal that gets us a 38-year old version of JVR and a 5th. It's the most Flyer move that ever Flyered.

Hard to prove the negative and I'm only mostly seriously: if Caufield was drafted by the Flyers he'd already have been destroyed and on his second concussion and dealing with a core muscle injury.

I feel this is an underutilized option, would like to see more of it.

Wright has looked like hot garbage with the Kraken this season, looked ordinary in the Junior tourney in spite of scoring a goal in the finals and has been returned to the OJL Kingsyon club.
4 goals and 7 points in 7 games, had a solid tourney as captain of Canada finishing 5th on his team in scoring, 15th overall in the tourney. With seattle this year he looked lost, usually getting less than double digit minutes, in 8 games he had 1 goal and an assist.
He has talent, i have to agree this is the right move for him. His upside is a top six forward, possibly a first line regular. He is still an 18 year old kid (actually just turned 19 yesterday) Ron Francis is doing the right thing by allowing him to take a deep breath and finish out the season finding his game and confidence against kids his own age.
I think "ordinary" is overstating it. He looked very good at times, in my opinion, including in last night's game. He wasn't great on faceoffs at times, which frustrated me, but he did a lot of things well, was physical all over the ice, and provided leadership (in my opnion) to a gold medal winning club. He was fine.

This is true. Unless your the Flyers, in which case you pay Ristolainen more than $5M to not play in his own end.

I think Blake being in the crease and blocking (not just his butt in the head) Milics ability to get across didn't help his cause either. It was a questionable call, the 2nd was way clearer. But when the score is 6-2, I'd blame the loss on inability to finish and terrible defence more than one call that could have gone a different way.
Agree. Milic was also a difference maker. It was a hella entertaining game to watch that's for sure. Some of my Halifax buddies will be at the game tonight. I was almost able to swing the trip out there for it, but alas, life interfered.

Same feeling. The first disallowed goal was pure BS but maybe "IIHF rules" applied there where blowing a bit of air towards the goalie lead to an interference call. That was a hammer hit on the US head that put them off the tracks. And the second disallowed goal (with reason this time) pretty much sealed it.
I felt the same, thought it was a good hockey goal, and agreed with the TSN panel that it was both an outrageous challenge and outrageous call by the refs.
But, it turns out, the IIHF has consistently judged that situation the same way. There was contact to the goalie's head from the US player's arse in the blue paint. Apparently it doesn't even matter that said contact was partially the result of being pushed by the Canadian Dman.

The team being bad because they lack the talent to compete happens in pro sports. As a fan, loyalty can carry you through in tough times. But like Aziz alludes to, this team is horrible because of bad management. It's all unforced errors. That's what makes it worse for me. In the past I lacked the knowledge to know the intricacies of how a franchise was managed, so I would stayed tuned in. But in this case, based on insight from this forum, I know why this team is suk. And I am insulted and offended. So I won't watch. Not because my absence affects them at all, but because they have stolen my passion. It is my opinion that this organization has put the financial success of the suits above the fan. They insult us by putting out a crap product, wrapping it in a furry orange costume, overwhelming us with loud music and overpriced beers, and highlight videos of miniscule success. They are cashing in on decades of success built on blood sweat and tears of teams from the past, and devoted fan loyalty. They know they will make money regardless of how we feel, or what actually happens on the ice.
They have stolen this fans passion and loyalty, and I hate it
So much alluding/eluding going on, I can't keep it straight
This is a good post, congrats! You should reward yourself with a visit to the local mall, spend some quality time around the top of the escalators. Enjoy!

That Flyer fan should be extradited to the Hague for war crimes. Maybe it was just a Risto fan, which I suppose is possible. It would be risky for me to wear a Risto jersey as I would inevitably be engulfed in flames as well.

This really is exactly where I'm at, though I haven't been as successful on social media.
I mean I'm no longer on Twitter since my permanent ban in 2019.
It turns out that you can't tell a sitting president to #### himself with his own son's link [¥¥¥] and hang himself from his scro##m and keep your Twitter account.
I've been in Facebook jail enough that it's really screwed up the drug-induced algorithm they think they have to the point it's really no longer enjoyable.
I'm not 15 and I can read English, so I'm not the target audience for TikTok. Instagram is Egyptian hieroglyphics for dyslexic children, so it bores me.
All are more entertaining than a Flyers game.
Lol.
Can I interrest you in an old fashioned Excel spreadsheet? You can do nifty stuff like prorate your IQ and sh!t.

Putting TK on the PK was a no brainer in my opinion, but how many coaches did we have that didn't even try him there? Two at least. I think in today's NHL you have to have players on the PK who can threaten on offense, on one of your units at least.
