what do you guys think of Ty Mcginn? EDIT: split from other thread - RAD

I am very pleased with him...Looks good thus far. Just glade to see the brass is actually taking there time with there young guys so far. I like Oliver got a lot of snarl to him, plays his position well and his teammates half to feel better with him behind them protecting crease and making the d zone a dangerous place to venture into for the opposition. Something Coburn should be doing if Coburn had more snarl to him and not just a part time basis but on a consistent basis those two on the same team would be nasty... Oliver reminds me of Pronger out there just his shear size and when he flaps his wings just looks like Pronger..... I would like to see what Manning has to offer as well as Gusty. Might actually have a nice young solid defense in years to come between the three if we are patient. Like to see us keep our young guys at forward and keep drafting defensemen let this team grow... Sorry I would space out my sentences but the enter key is not working for some reason...

I 100% agree with you there as far as sending them down to the minors. I think though the person that is pushing these young guys to hard is not the GM or the coach...its the owner....

In my opinion Schenn and Coots will bring more to the table the Carter ever will....

Carter has never been a clutch guy especially in the playoffs....He has a ring because of Dustin Brown and Jonathan Quick.

I don't know but I got a good feeling and I think Mason might actually be our guy of the future in net. I like his style, got a good feeling about this one guys. Change of scenery might of been what just the doctor ordered here for Mason.

Coots does not have the skill set....didn't he score like 98pts in the minors while he was playing with mono???Didn't he score more pts then Crosby in the monors the same minor league that Crosby was in? Doesnt have the foot speed....not every player has to have Grabner like speed to be efficient. Not a shutdown center wtf did he do to the entire Penguins team last playoffs...?

I loved it....hey Crosby is an untouchable "RIGHT" so why not Giroux then...I love Jake sticking up for his Captain, indeed you do not want your skilled guys getting hurt but that was some old time hockey you know it doesnt half to be a goon or tough guy that sticks up for the teamate all the time. Sorry about that I thought it would be a deep 1st round from what i have heard. Is it more or less you got your top 5 and thats it until the later rounds where the depth of tis years draft comes in? If thats the case I half to look up guys like Mckinnon or Druin but they sound like either ones a great pick, Holmgren will find a way to fcuk it up though....What do you guys think about trading our 1st for the defensemen for the Capitals the guys name is Eminger???

I don't know to much about the draft this year. I learn more as we get closer so I will take your guys word for it. Freaking sounds like any pick you make isnt a bad one in this years draft. Even if we don't make any trades before the deadline we still have until the end of june to get some picks for players. By then guys like Briere will be healthy and Mez who I like alot but is so injury prone will "might be" ready to go. Maybe get a 2nd and a 3rd rd pick fo rboth of them. Plus trading away our top 5 for maybe around 10th overall to a team that has two 1sts or a 1st a 2nd and more.... With this many options and this deep of a draft I hope Homers still does not find a way to **** it up....
